Wild and Flowery April

 April is wildflower month in Texas, and our state flower is the bluebonnet. It's but one of many wildflowers that fill pastures and roadsides throughout the state during the spring months. Sometimes, people like me grow bluebonnets in pots. I have three pots of them on our patio that recently started blooming. Here's one of them.

Some of the most prevalent other wildflowers you'll see while driving through our not-tiny state:

And to continue with the Wild and Flowery theme, April is also host to some amazing festivals in our great state, too. Last year, they were non-existent. I'm not sure about this year. I'd say iffy. However, I'm hopeful for 2022. Three that I know are fun:

Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill, which is northwest of Houston toward Austin.

Strawberry Festival in Poteet, which is south of San Antonio.

And of course Fiesta San Antonio, which is huge. And awesome, too.
