Hot Diggity Doggies!
This is the week I hope to clear out all my backlog. Please wish me good luck with that!
So I'm sharing two short videos from yesterday. The first is Shiner going long for a Cheetos pass. The second is a mockingbird singing while the dogs ate dinner (you may need to turn your sound up to hear as it's not as loud on the video as it was outside). The dogs are spoiled--they get dinner and a show!
Even better, I'm participating in Medeia Sharif's fantastic cover reveal for her upcoming novel, VITAMINS AND DEATH.
VITAMINS AND DEATH by Medeia Sharif
YA Contemporary, Prizm Books
Release Date December 10, 2014
Deidra Battle wants nothing more than to be invisible. After her mother, a public school teacher, engages in an embarrassing teacher-student affair at Lincoln High, they relocate to a different neighborhood and school. Being her mother’s briefcase, Deidra joins her mother at her new workplace, Hodge High.
Since her mother has reverted to her maiden name and changed her appearance, Deidra thinks no one will figure out they’re the Battles from recent news and that they’re safe. Neither of them is. Hodge brings a fresh set of bullies who discover details about the scandal that changed her life.
Feeling trapped at home with an emotionally abusive, pill-addicted mother and at school with hostile classmates who attempt to assault and blackmail her, Deidra yearns for freedom, even if she has to act out of character and hurt others in the process. Freedom comes at a price.

Congratulations, Medeia!
Medeia's book sounds intriguing.
Congrats to Medeia!
Julie - Shiner can catch anything. Plus he is extremely food-motivated.
Medeia is such a talented writer - can't wait for this one :)
I do so love mockingbirds and how their songs are different from place to place, neighborhood to neighborhood. The songs I hear in my yard will be different from the songs I hear from another bird even a few blocks away.
Congrats to Medeia!
Lucky doggies - dinner and a show!
Also, that's a great cover. But it's leaving me a little paranoid about these gummy bear vitamins I'm about to eat... I hope they don't bring death.
Bish - I didn't know that about mockingbirds, but it makes sense. When I was a kid, the ones in our neighborhood made sounds like a telephone ringing as part of their repertoire.
Michelle and Beth Ellyn - I agree about Medeia and her cover.
Beer - Our other dog can rarely catch anything. I think they either do or don't.
I like the cover for Medeia's book.

Congrats again to Medeia.
Hope your back log gets accomplished.
Lee - Yes, otherwise he will make you sign a pledge and you'll be obligated :)
Joss - You're welcome. It's my pleasure! Shiner says 'arf!' :)
Yvonne - Great. Thanks for the good wishes. I hope so, too.
And congrats to Madeia! Cool cover. :)
Second nice yard
Geo. - I suspect you could be correct about the mockingbird's knowledge.
Stephanie - I agree about Medeia's talent.
Jo-Anne - Glad you like it. Live-In Handyman would happily let you mow it next time :)
Congrats on the great-sounding novel and cover, Madeia.
Carol, we don't have mockingbirds. Love songbirds. They always make me feel happy.
Shelley - Songbirds make me feel happy, too.

Dee - My pleasure. Peace to you as well.
Stephanie - Doggies have been edgy the past couple of days, making me a little crazy. Good thing the mockingbirds are still singing :)
