A-Z Solomon's Compass Style: Oliver Fallon

The winner of a Kindle copy of
SOLOMON'S COMPASS
given away by Isis Rushdan
from my guest post there
last Friday is:
Congratulations, Willa!

Welcome A-Z bloggers!
And everyone else, of course :)
My A-Z posts are all about my new book, SOLOMON'S COMPASS.
Read the A post to learn who AJ is.

Jake Solomon here.

Oliver Fallon may be the subject of Carol's post today, but I pleaded with her to let me tell you about him. It's too risky for him to be here among you.

For instance:

Historic archive theft

A man who stole valuable historic documents about the origins of golf in Scotland has escaped a jail term.
Franklin Ottsbury admitted his guilt last month.
Ottsbury, an academic who was teaching at a London school at the time, avoided being locked up when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Sheriff Noel McPartlin ordered Ottsbury to do 200 hours of community service and pay back £9,000 in compensation.

Despite the names in the above snippets, each of the individuals mentioned is Oliver Fallon. He is my family's arch enemy. This touches on only some of his exploits.
Born in Bluefield, West Virginia, the man is a multi-talented chameleon. He can change his appearance, his accent, everything about himself in an instant. He is an expert marksman with any firearm. He has an excellent instinct for self-preservation. He is accomplished and dangerous.

This is all I will share here. I'm not certain I feel comfortable sharing this much. It doesn't matter where Fallon is or what he's doing...Oliver Fallon is extremely dangerous.

Congrats to Iris.
As usual a wonderful insight to the character.

Yvonne.
In other words, he'd make a great undercover spy. A really dangerous one.

HA! Great post, you clever lady!

Wow, I love how much background research you've done. Amazing.
Alex took the words right out of my mouth...he could have a career in espionage!

Hmmm. Oliver sounds like an aura adaptor to me. ;)
Very awesome. Enemies in books are often super interesting.

I wonder how -- in which way -- is he evil. What will he do? How dangerous will he prove to be? This is getting exciting to say the least.

As long as you don't believe Fallon is a wonderful man, I'm happy, Yvonne.

Extremely dangerous, Alex.

Jennifer, I'm thankful Carol allowed me to write this post.

Our family has tried to keep tabs on Fallon for decades, Clarissa. Sometimes we succeed.

Yes, Mark. Following the money is the easiest way to find Fallon.

He's no Ciel Halligan, Linda G., but he's clever and vindictive. At times it's difficult to remember that he has no paranormal ability.

Teresa, if I didn't know all Fallon has done and is capable of doing, I would think he was interesting, too.

Apologies to OE. Carol pointed out that I called you Mark. Perhaps that's because you look like an old fried of mine with that name.

You'll discover more about Fallon in the book, Inger!

So Fallon is a bad guy, right? Why did Jack protect him from risk by doing his blog post for him?
Bish Denham said…
Ooooo, will that sort of gave me the heebie jeebies.

Ooh, I'm very intrigued by Mr. Fallon.

Congrats to Willa! :)
Carol Kilgore said…
LD, I see that I should have asked Carol to edit this post before scheduling it. Perhaps if I rephrase the risky sentence, you'll better understand:
It's too risky for you if Fallon is here among you doing his own talking.

It should, Bish. Fallon is not a kind man.

Stay aware, Julie.

Smart thinking, Michelle.

Damn it, I was hoping to win :)

I guess I'll just have to purchase my own copy. It sounds a good read!

What are the odds...well, being a former math teacher I could calculate them...but here I am, randomly clicking on blogs to visit as many as possible, and I stumble upon the author of the book I've been seeing all over the place. I think it was at Alex's first. Looking forward to reading it! When the Challenge is over...

Oliver Fallon. Great name. If it is his REAL name. Who knows what his real name actually is, eh? He sounds like a regular Lethal Weapon.

I'm dealing with Georgia's early season carnivorous mosquitos, I don't need any more danger in my life. Keep your distance, Oliver!

Hi Carol. Visiting from A to Z. Well Oliver Fallon sounds like quite the suspicious character. I will have to check out your book. Congratulations on your success. God bless, Maria from Delight Directed Living

While Live-In Handyman and I were eating dinner, I received a text from Jake that something urgent came up. He didn't say if it had to do with Oliver Fallon or not. Or how long he'd be gone. You may be stuck with me for the rest of the evening :)

Wendy - Sorry you didn't win. You're in the majority, though, with only one winner.

Tina - Thanks for stopping by. Great to meet you!

Christine - Me either.

Robin - Exactly. Just 'cause he says it's his real name doesn't mean it's so.

Nick - Right. He's one scary man.

Trisha - Yes, he does.

VR - If Oliver's smart, he'll do just that!

Maria - Thanks for the kind words. Great to meet you!

I think Jake has his number!
Thank you Jake. Always nice to know who the enemy is (even if we may not recognise him).

Hello, ladies. I made it back. False alarm, but something that had to be checked out.

Thanks, Shelley. Part of my job.

I've learned more about Fallon every day.

I hope you mean Fallon and not me, Medeia :)

Then I did my job here, Medeia :)
