Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Today I have some good news to share with you.

Starting this Friday, November 23 - the infamous Black Friday - the Kindle edition of In Name Only will be on sale for the holidays!

The sale will run at Amazon beginning this Friday and run through midnight, Saturday, December 15. Or whenever Amazon makes the actual changes.

I'm learning as I go because I'm a virgin at this - don't laugh. There's not much still available to choose from. I can't be picky about this.

So ...

HOLIDAY SALE!
In Name Only
Kindle Edition
$2.99
12:01 a.m. Friday, 11-23-12 to 11:59 p.m. Saturday, 12-15-12
Amazon Time - Of Course

I also want to wish all of you Happy Thanksgiving!

At Casa Kilgore, we're having two tables of diners for the big day. I'm thankful I will have lots of preparation help! The turkey is already thawing, and I'm going to be a busy woman this week.

How about you?

Are you hosting? Cooking? Or are you going to be a guest this year?

There have been years Live-In Handyman and I have been "just two" for Thanksgiving, and we've made those into very special days that I'll always treasure. But there's something about the whole family thing that is so fun for everyone. As long as no one gets too rowdy.

My wish for you is a Happy Thanksgiving you'll always remember.

For those of you not celebrating this week, I wish you a safe and productive week.

See you Friday!

Unless you're doing the shop 'til you drop thing. In which case you have my sincere sympathies.

Are you kidding? I hide on Black Friday!
Many years Thanksgiving is just my wife and I, which is fine. This year it is with family, which will also be cool.

I shop early mornings so I don't have to deal with AnyOne in my way. But for some reason, I like getting into the elbow to elbow crowds on Black Friday. Gotta be a festive thing, huh?

Yay for your book!

Here in Mexico, this past weekend is called Buen fin...and every store has sales like on Black Friday. I am cooking a turkey this year, but the fixings are challenging as I can't find some spices for my dressing. Happy thanksgiving!

I'm in Canada. We've already had our Thanksgiving, so no fancy meals for us on Thursday.

The concept of Black Friday is hitting a few of our stores this Friday (this new trend started last year). I prefer to avoid anything like that. People can get pretty insane.

No Thanksgiving here in the UK, and I'll be thinking of your feast with envy!

Happy Thanksgiving to you.....I think a few of our stores are starting to have Black Friday sales. I won't be there for sure.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our neighbors are a big Catholic family and they always invite us over for the day. Makes me happy as I only have to cook one or two dishes and we get to spend the day with friends.

I get to be a guest and am looking forward as well. Going to be a beautiful week weather wise in MN too. Enjoy your week with the family! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! :-)

Have a good one! Not doing anything special here. ;)

Looking forward to xmas though.

Alex - Not surprised. And 'just two' is a good thing :)

Huntress - Shopping isn't my favorite thing. Crowds make it go even further down the list.

Em-Musing - I love traditional dressing, but try it without the usual seasonings. Instead, add crumbled tamales, and a little garlic, chile, and cumin. It's good, too :)

Stina - I'll eat extra food JUST for you :)

Talli - And for you I can eat TWICE the extra food!

Delores - Neither will I. But I can eat for you, too. At this rate, I'm going to be my own stuffed turkey :)

Happy Thanksgiving. Mine will be pretty low-key this year. No family get together, but lots of pie and turkey still.

Have a great week.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm cookin'. It's fun.

Happy Thanks giving. Like Alex, I'll be hiding on Friday (working, actually). I despise the crowds.

(Sorry so tardy. I've been fighting a bad case of bronchitis all week.)

I refuse to leave the house on Black Friday.

Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Wonderful news!

And I'm soooo not a shopper... But I'm excited to spend time with family ;-)

Diane - Sounds like a winner!

Tracy Jo - Beautiful weather on Thanksgiving is always a plus.

LR - Thanks. I get to eat for you, too. I'll need to pace myself!

L.G. - yummmm...pie :)

Cherie - Same to you!

have a lovely holiday week, Carol. I wish we had holidays here like you do over there. Can I pop over to help you cooking and baking? :)

You made me giggle! I'll be going to my parents with a bunch of family. As for black Friday, I tend to avoid it. Maybe I'll hide out and write.
Carol Kilgore said…
Linda K - You, too!

Southpaw - It is fun!

Melissa - I hate bronchitis. Take care of yourself. It's good you'll be staying away from crowds :)

Linda G - Good for you!

Morgan - I am not a shopper either.
Carol Kilgore said…
Clarissa - Thanks!

David - I sometimes wonder if those fantastic deals are worth the price.

Dezmond - Thanks. I love our holidays. Friends and extra hands always welcome.

Johanna - I'm hoping to write on Black Friday, too.
Happy Thanksgiving!! Don't eat too much turkey ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm cooking, but then won't cook again until next week. I love all the leftovers.
Carol Kilgore said…
Lynda - OK :)

M Pax - I probably won't cook until next week either.

I already have In Name Only, but I hope your holiday sale goes splendidly!

For me, Turkey Day will be on Sunday with some friends, which will give me a couple days to clean my place and cook. It's not that I'm messy, it's just that I'm a writer who has no time to clean...

Have a great T Day!
Carol Kilgore said…
Thanks, Helena. I hope so, too. Totally understand no time to clean. Enjoy Sunday!
No Thanksgiving my end of the world.
Hope you have a great one!
Thinking of you...

I am cooking for my hubby and kiddos this year. No guests. We all need some down time after a pretty rough year.
As for shopping: I do most of mine online. Plus, we really don't have much to choose from in our small town, unless you count the touristy shops.
Much luck with your holiday sale, Carol!
Carol Kilgore said…
Michelle - So sorry. It's fun!

Susan - Down time is always good. I'm done with shopping except for Live-In Handyman, who also has a birthday in December.
Jennifer Shirk said…
I'm thinking about going out on Friday... :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

(And I have you down for April 8th)
Happy Thanksgiving! Nowadays, my only Thanksgiving "job" is to play with the grandchildren while somebody else does all the work. (Getting old ain't all bad!) Good luck with increased sales on your book this week. I already bought it, so no help from me.
Carol Kilgore said…
Jennifer - Brave soul! (And thanks for the 8th!)

Susan - Have fun hanging with the kids :) And thank you!
We will be guests this year which will be nice. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope that smart shoppers will stay home, and purchase your book online.

A happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, too. We enjoy it with the family. I love getting together for the holidays and enjoying turkey and dressing!
Carol Kilgore said…
Julie - I like your thinking! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving :)

Stephen - So true about never a dull moment!

Janet - When I was a kid, it was a day I had to behave. So it was never a fave. Now I love it!

I'll raise a glass to my friends across the pond. :) Sounds like you've got your hands full! Thanks for the Kindle deal. Hopefully you'll get some good sales from it.

Thanks, Nick. Hope so!
A Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

And congratulations! Yay! Will be in line for the sale!

It was just me, hubby and The Kid today. But I kind of like those days. Like you mentioned with you and the handyman, sometimes we need those. But I do love the big get-togethers. :)

Nas - Thanksgiving was wonderful!

Michelle - I wish you did, too :)

Tami - I hope your day was as great as ours, no matter the number :)
