Happy Thanksgiving Week!
Today I have some good news to share with you.
Starting this Friday, November 23 - the infamous Black Friday - the Kindle edition of In Name Only will be on sale for the holidays!
The sale will run at Amazon beginning this Friday and run through midnight, Saturday, December 15. Or whenever Amazon makes the actual changes.
I'm learning as I go because I'm a virgin at this - don't laugh. There's not much still available to choose from. I can't be picky about this.
So ...
I also want to wish all of you Happy Thanksgiving!
At Casa Kilgore, we're having two tables of diners for the big day. I'm thankful I will have lots of preparation help! The turkey is already thawing, and I'm going to be a busy woman this week.
How about you?
Are you hosting? Cooking? Or are you going to be a guest this year?
There have been years Live-In Handyman and I have been "just two" for Thanksgiving, and we've made those into very special days that I'll always treasure. But there's something about the whole family thing that is so fun for everyone. As long as no one gets too rowdy.
My wish for you is a Happy Thanksgiving you'll always remember.
For those of you not celebrating this week, I wish you a safe and productive week.
See you Friday!
Unless you're doing the shop 'til you drop thing. In which case you have my sincere sympathies.

Many years Thanksgiving is just my wife and I, which is fine. This year it is with family, which will also be cool.
Yay for your book!
The concept of Black Friday is hitting a few of our stores this Friday (this new trend started last year). I prefer to avoid anything like that. People can get pretty insane.
Our neighbors are a big Catholic family and they always invite us over for the day. Makes me happy as I only have to cook one or two dishes and we get to spend the day with friends.
Looking forward to xmas though.
Huntress - Shopping isn't my favorite thing. Crowds make it go even further down the list.
Em-Musing - I love traditional dressing, but try it without the usual seasonings. Instead, add crumbled tamales, and a little garlic, chile, and cumin. It's good, too :)
Stina - I'll eat extra food JUST for you :)
Talli - And for you I can eat TWICE the extra food!
Delores - Neither will I. But I can eat for you, too. At this rate, I'm going to be my own stuffed turkey :)
Have a great week.
(Sorry so tardy. I've been fighting a bad case of bronchitis all week.)
Happy Thanksgiving! :)
And I'm soooo not a shopper... But I'm excited to spend time with family ;-)
Tracy Jo - Beautiful weather on Thanksgiving is always a plus.
LR - Thanks. I get to eat for you, too. I'll need to pace myself!
L.G. - yummmm...pie :)
Cherie - Same to you!
Southpaw - It is fun!
Melissa - I hate bronchitis. Take care of yourself. It's good you'll be staying away from crowds :)
Linda G - Good for you!
Morgan - I am not a shopper either.
David - I sometimes wonder if those fantastic deals are worth the price.
Dezmond - Thanks. I love our holidays. Friends and extra hands always welcome.
Johanna - I'm hoping to write on Black Friday, too.
I'm cooking, but then won't cook again until next week. I love all the leftovers.
M Pax - I probably won't cook until next week either.
For me, Turkey Day will be on Sunday with some friends, which will give me a couple days to clean my place and cook. It's not that I'm messy, it's just that I'm a writer who has no time to clean...
Have a great T Day!
Hope you have a great one!
Thinking of you...
As for shopping: I do most of mine online. Plus, we really don't have much to choose from in our small town, unless you count the touristy shops.
Much luck with your holiday sale, Carol!
Susan - Down time is always good. I'm done with shopping except for Live-In Handyman, who also has a birthday in December.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
(And I have you down for April 8th)
Susan - Have fun hanging with the kids :) And thank you!
Julie
And thanks for signing up for the Alexfest!
Stephen - So true about never a dull moment!
Janet - When I was a kid, it was a day I had to behave. So it was never a fave. Now I love it!
And congratulations! Yay! Will be in line for the sale!
Michelle - I wish you did, too :)
Tami - I hope your day was as great as ours, no matter the number :)
