Summer's Story
Hi,
My name is Summer Newcombe. Carol asked me to post here today because she's over at Mason Canyon's blog, Thoughts in Progress.
I'm supposed to introduce myself to you and not be too wordy about it. When you read IN NAME ONLY, you'll learn all about me, so that's not too important. I can tell you that Summer Newcombe isn't my real name. It's the name the U.S. Marshals gave me when they brought me to Padre Island.
Come closer.
What's really important is that I have a secret to tell you. It's sort of about me, but it's really about Carol. In her frenzy of telling you about IN NAME ONLY and getting it put together for you to read, a strange thing occurred.
Carol forgot to tell you about NEVER SAY MY NAME. And she's going to be embarrassed when she learns I told you. But she can handle it okay. She's like that.
NEVER SAY MY NAME is a short story that explains the predicament that got me into the mess with the Federal Witness Security Program to begin with. It's where I first met Carol. And no, I don't have the crazy Witness Protection t-shirt she showed you a few weeks ago. She was messing with you. She's like that, too.
Now I'm going jogging on the beach. I'll be back later to answer your comments.
When you go say hi to Carol at Thoughts in Progress, please don't tell her I told you about NEVER SAY MY NAME. It can stay our secret, and I'll tell her over a beer and a plate of my brownies tonight.
Oh...there's an added surprise at the end.
See you in the book!
Summer
NEVER SAY MY NAME is available at Amazon in Kindle format only for US$0.99.
