Isn't that sad when your own name gets typoed? I type Larua all the time.
My favorites to make are: her for here, form for from.
Talli Roland said…
Shall I just call you Crol from now on, then? I don't do typos nearly as much as I just type the wrong word altogether! No idea how that happens.

I do No.5 all the time. What's up with that? :)

Hi, Crol!

I often type "read" for "red," and "know" for "no." Homophonic typos are my specialty.
ME TOO on my name. When I'm typing my name, I don't type it correctly.

Terse
Ok Terese
Ok for real this time Teresa

Your number one typo made me laugh out loud. :D I think it might be a case where your fingers are going much faster than your brain.
Slamdunk said…
Oh man me too.

There and their is my most common.
VR Barkowski said…
Why do you think I use my initials? :)

I put my lousy typing down to me being a speed demon...my fingers can't keep up with my brain.
Maybe do do is actually on purpose?
Tracy Jo said…
Don't cha just hate that. It is like your fingers just take control and it is always the same words for me too. Thanks for the smile, Crol!
Julie Flanders said…
LOL, I want to start calling you Crol now. :D Fun list, and I totally relate to #6 and #7.

Have a great weekend!

I do lots of hte for the and constantly type their when I mean they're. It's mortifying because I SWEAR I know the difference. It's just my fingers that didn't make it past the fourth grade!
Elspeth Futcher said…
#4 is achingly familiar and I'm glad I'm not the only one who mistypes their own name. Happy weekend!

Laura - Exactly so about our names.

Talli - Sometimes I type the wrong word, too. Or type a mishmash of letters and wonder what I meant when I go back over it.

LR - Don't know, but what a strange word for both of us to mistype in the same way. I guess the left pinkie must travel faster than the right one.

Linda G - I have my share of those.

Hi Terse. Nice to meet you. Crol
Wonderful post Crol. great list.

Yvonne.

Except for the last one on the list, I have made all those mistakes...lots.
Carol Kilgore said…
J.L. - Slug for brain :)

Slamdunk - I don't much mess those up, but sometimes there for they're.

VR - Smart woman!

Delores - Could be.

Alex - Ya never know :)

Hello Crol!
Oh I make a lot of them too!

LOVE those typos. Though I have to say that because grammar was/is my strong point, the its/it's drives me crazy.

You said your husband laughed out loud at The Long, Long Trailer a few weeks ago on TV. My sister and I laughed until we cried when we saw it that long ago time in our childhood! (Thanks for stopping by!!)
Ann Best, Author of In the Mirror & Other Memoirs
Great top 10. My biggest typo is: teh for the.
Carol Kilgore said…
Tracy Jo - Exactly so about the fingers!

Julie - You, too. Crol may not answer, LOL.

Johanna - I know the difference, too. Fingers have minds of their own.

Elspeth - Embarrassing, right?

Yvonne - Made you smile :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Clarissa - It's comforting to know I'm not the only one.

Michelle - You'd think we'd all be beyond these kinds of goofs. But no!

Ann - He really loved it.

RaShelle - The seems to be a major typo magnet.

Nice list, Crol. I also used to to those things, but I'm mcuh better now. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
L.G. - Good to know you're so mcuh better :)
Crol is my favorite, but I can relate to many on the list! Julie
Carol Kilgore said…
Julie - I think that one's pretty much mine alone, LOL.

LOL! God bless spell check

Linda K - For Sure!

Heather - Or the name of an evil gnome :)

You've given me the urge to edit now. :P LOL.
Carol Kilgore said…
Golden Eagle - It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it :)
Old Kitty said…
LOL! I always get you're and your mixed up!! I worked once with a woman who labelled our office cabinet drawers with the word "draw" (as in drawer for paper etc) and I remember pointing out that maybe she meant to add "er" at the end, to which she replied that she used spellcheck and spellcheck never said it was the wrong spelling. Can't win! LOL!

Take care

Do you pronounce that Crawl (like on the ground) or Crowl (like the bird)? ;)

Have a good weekend!
Carol Kilgore said…
Old Kitty - Cheers to spellcheck :)

Michelle T - I'm guessing more like the bird. Yeah. "I gotta crowL!"
Conda Douglas said…
I love the one about your name! I do that too! Most often I do my name as Cinda--which is a name I despise!
Carol Kilgore said…
Conda - At least I don't leave out the O...or I'd be Carl.
Nas said…
I always do 'thnaks' for Thanks. Don't really know how that happens!
Carol Kilgore said…
Nas - Mind/finger conflict :)

I make these all the time. I tell myself my brain is too fast for the keyboards they give us.

I hate to think how many letters and emails I've signed as Shrilly. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
I'm laughing! Shrilly Shirley :)
That may even beat Crol!
