Great list- trick or treat- right on the mark for number one. I'm small enough to still do it too...hehe.

Don't forget that Halloween adds several billion dollars to the U.S. economy every year. That's the kind of economic stimulus that we really need.

I saw a real bat a few weeks ago. Sleeping peacefully on the side of a house. He was very cute.

The saddest thing about Halloween? All the stores have already geared up for Christmas. Too soon! I mean, isn't Thanksgiving a holiday too?

I've got some Halloween fun at my blog today. :-)

I love Halloween! On Halloween we're allowed to be anyone we want to be... even ourselves.

Have a happy Halloween. Yum, candy.

And speaking of witches, my baby girl is dressing as a witch this year (her first halloween). She's SOOOO cute. I have pictures of her on my facebook page.

Summer - Lucky you! Be sure to check all your candy :)

Arlee - I'll second that one.

LR - I've only seen a bat once, in a parking garage. It wasn't sleeping. Scared me to death.

Terry - I know. Sad. I'll be over to check out your fun!

VR - Yes!

Love your list, but it needs an Addendum, maybe number 3A: CHOCOLATE! Especially with a little coffee on the side.
Just give me the candy...

I'm really hungry now...LOL!
Great list here! Have a wonderful weekend and boo-tiful Halloween!

Great list, as always!

Brings back childhood memories, especially of haunted houses--one my friend cooked up. It was spooky!! I especially remember the macaroni for brains.

But the best was trick or treat. One elderly man in my neighborhood wouldn't give us a treat until we recited something. I think I recited a nursery rhyme. Ah...gone are those days. It was fun.

Linda - You'll all have a ball with First Halloween. I know she's the cutest witch ever :)

Joanne - You got it! No day is complete without chocolate and coffee.

Alex - LOL...I think you've been to my door!

Laura - And a boo-tiful Halloween to you, too :)

Bats would fall a little higher on my list, but I’ve always love bats. They are so darn cute.

Great list as usual Carol - and candy always wins. However, bats? Hate'em. Rats with wings.
Carol Kilgore said…
Ann - Happy to bring back memories for you. One man on our block had a big dog of some kind, maybe a boxer, and on Halloween the dog came with him to the door...wearing sunglasses.

Holly - Hmm...loves bats. Okay. Smiling :)

Elspeth - I think they're a little freaky, but I've never met one up close and personal.

Happy Halloween, Carol!
I love this post because I love Halloween. I agree with your list ;)
And for adults, I recommend going/attending anywhere they're playing "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". It's so much fun!

Trick or treat! Yay for Hallowe'en! It's such a great time of year.

Have a happy weekend!

Happy Halloween! I love your list. I have heard a rumor there are Halloweed Peeps now. If that's true, it may have to be on your list next year.
Carol Kilgore said…
Talei - Happy Haunting to you!

Claudia - Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Yea for Rocky Horror!!!

Talli - I think so, too.

Lydia - I haven't heard the Peeps rumor. Next trip to the store I'm looking :)

So, are you going trick-or-treating? The only thing I don't like about living out here in the country is that we don't have kids out here going from door to door. The doors are too far apart. LOL
When we lived in a city, I loved seeing all the kids and their costumes.
I am so down with #7. Actually, the whole list except maybe real bats and haunted houses. I love Halloween.

Have a fun Halloween weekend!

Maryann - No trick or treating for me. I'm the stay-here-and-hand-out-candy person. Last year I was a witch. This year maybe a gypsy fortune teller.

Theresa - So do I, complete with haunted houses :) Thanks for following. And thanks to Talli for introducing me to your blog.

Mason - Scary movies - yes. But I don't do tooooo scary :)

Joanna - Welcome to the Tiki Hut! And thanks for following. Come back any time.

All in the right order, too!

However, I'm w/ Mason about watching scary movies.

I always make sure that I have plenty of buttered popcorn & Coke [in a chilled glass w/ extra ice & a wedge of lemon!] & watch the original [1978] version of Halloween.
Carol - All fun stuff about Halloween. My kids are so excited. =D

Lisa - A Halloween tradition! Have a great one.

RaShelle - I know they are. Have fun :)

Gail - I'm hoping we have some Reese's left in the bag.

Words Crafter - Oooh, yeah. And spooky music :)
