The Witching Month

I can hardly believe it's already October. This year's been so busy and hectic at Casa Kilgore that the time has flown by. As if a witch had waved her magic wand.

Speaking of witches (see what I did there) I found a fun short test you can take to see what kind of witch YOU are! Give it a shot and let us know in the comments 🙂

What kind of witch am I?
Truth is, I took the test twice because one question had more than one great answer for me. According to this test, I'm either Maleficent or Endora from "Bewitched."

Last month I mentioned that we were taking a trip to New England. We saw hints of what was about to unfold, but unfortunately, we were a week or two early for the full show, according to the locals.

But one morning, in a small town north of Boston, someone waved a magic wand and allowed me to take this shot. I told Live-In Handyman to wait because there she was posing for me and it would be rude not to take her picture.

Do you live someplace with beautiful fall scenery? Here in San Antonio, we have some trees that offer us a little show, but that doesn't usually happen until around Thanksgiving or even later.

But Texas is like New England when it comes to the Witching Month, even though we don't have a ferry to Salem.

So now that I've talked about two events in October, there's one more - Gracie!

The release date for Jalapeno Cupcake Wench will be Monday, October 16, 2017.

On the release day, I'll be back here for a special edition of the blog with everything Gracie.

If you would like to participate in the release, I'll send you basically everything I sent for the cover reveal - cover, blurb, that kind of thing. Plus buy links. And a little something extra (I think). I say that because I just had an idea, but I haven't thought it through yet. So no promises.

If you'd like to participate, just leave me a comment or email me at tikihuttime AT gmail DOT com.

See you back here on
Monday, October 16
GRACIE DAY!

Comments

Congratulations! Be happy to announce it for you that day.
Fall colors will be hitting the mountains here this month.
I'm Endora from Bewitched! Ack!

We went to the VA mountains to see our son at school a week ago...leaves were starting to turn there. but I hear that it's been so dry that the leaf changing will be very short and sweet this year.

Congratulations to you!

Congrats! This year fall will be a slight drop in temperature and maybe some rain. I will miss the fall change this year! New England vs Southern California. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 🍂

I'm the Grand High Witch 😉. I would love to help you out with the release of your new book. No worries. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip.
Congratulations. I hope Gracie thrives.
My ISP won't let me see what sort of witch I am, but I am leaning towards the wicked variety.

H.R. - Wow! You're on the wrong coast. Have fun where you are :)

Murees - How cool! Thank you, too. I'll be sending info to you by early next week.

Our leaves are slowly beginning to turn. I love the colors but miss all the flowers. If you don't already have me down for your release date, sign me up. I'd love to help. Now I'm off to see what kind of witch I am. :)

Congratulations! And I love that fall picture. The leaves are all colorful here. Funny that I got Endora first, and when I did it again, I got Maleficent. Hehehe!
Hi-ya. I'm Glinda, so I guess I need to sit at the kiddie table... :)

Our autumns here are probably a lot like yours. Most years, we get very little color change, other than to boring brown, but occasionally, we get a splash of gorgeous that almost makes raking all of those leaves worthwhile. (Almost!) But for now? It still feels and looks like summer during the days, but nights have been cool enough to open the bedroom windows at night. (You know... to let the pollen in. HA!)

Except for the IWSG posts, I only post on Fridays. If it'd be okay to promote your book on the 20th instead of the 16th, I could do that. At any rate, good luck with the new release!!!

I think I'd like to be like Samantha or Harry Potter if I was a witch. Would love a wand. Here in Michigan, it's beautiful in fall. Congrats on your new book coming out.

Jemi - Great! Thank you. I've added you to my list. Glinda was a good witch :)

Mason - I'm the same with flowers. They were beautiful in Boston. It looked like spring up there! I have you on my list for Release Day! Thank you :)

Christine - Cool! My results were the other way around. We must be mirror twins :) Glad you're enjoying the fall color. Still green everywhere here. And warm.

Susan - You and Jemi can play Candyland :) Absolutely Friday is OK. I put your name on my list with a note that the day is different. Thank you.

Natalie - Thank you for the good wishes. I love the way Samantha wiggled her nose :)

Glad you got to enjoy some of the beautiful fall in New England. Peek week is happening right about now- or very soon. I do love getting to see the leaves change. Such a pretty time of year. :)

Jess - I loved it up there - especially the Boston area. I've been to New England before, but it was my first visit to Boston. Enjoy your leaves :)
Apparently I'm Glinda... kinda boring, really.

lol

New England sounds like a wonderful place to visit.

Lynda - There are more Glinda's here ... you've found your tribe :) New England was wonderful. As much as I liked it, I don't think I would like living there full time. Their winters are long and cold and often really snowy. Come February, I'm ready to be outside and if not warm, at least not cold.
Congrats, Carol!

Autumn with it's colorful red/yellow/orange/brown always reminds me of one of my favorite songs: Autumn Leaves.
Happy October!
(We're into spring this side of the globe!)

Congratulations Carol! Love the fall photo!

Michelle - I love spring! Autumn is very pretty, though in a different way from spring. Enjoy your flowers :)

Nas - Thanks. The tree did all the work :)

Apparently I'm Glinda.

Or maybe that's just what I want you to think.

Go Patsy! That's the way we roll around here. Welcome!

Awesome! And yeah, I'm Glinda, too!

Fall colors peak the last two weeks in October around here, so we're getting close.

Congrats on your new release coming up!

Yikes, I'm Ursula.

My blog has a scheduled guest post for this coming Monday but I'm happy to do something another day if you want.
Carol Kilgore said…
Kelly - Thank you.I think there are enough Glindas here for a team!

Jay - Nothing even close except we had a little taste of fall yesterday weatherwise. Thank you :)

Tara - Oooh... wasn't she the Sea Witch? Can't remember. Thank you. I sent you an email. Much appreciated.
Congratulations on your new release! I'd like to say I'm Samantha, but I'm quickly turning into Endora! Best of luck at your release party!
