Sugar Lustytush is a Goodreads Junkie!

Way back in the Dark Ages - like mid-June :) - Tara Tyler presented me with my second Liebster Award.  Thank you, Tara!

In case anyone reading this doesn't know Tara, her blog is awesome. And she's the author of Pop Travel, a brand new novel out just this month that's already on my TBR list.

So let's get to it!

Here are Tara's infamous eleven questions:

  1. What's your nickname? (make one up if you don't have one)
I do have to make one up, so I relied on that email thingie that someone sent me this morning about finding your stripper name. You may call me
Sugar Lustytush
But do so at your own risk :)

  2. What genre do you read most?
Mystery/Suspense/Thriller and Romantic Suspense run a close race, followed by romantic comedies.

  3. What celebrity would you love to meet?
Just one? Maybe a small party on the patio with Sandra Bullock, Robert Downey, Jr., Prince Harry, Pope Francis, Maya Angelou, and Ellen.

  4. What is your favorite age?
109. I want to still be alive, have my mind and teeth, and be able to walk at 109.

  5. Facebook or Twitter?
Both. Different tools for different functions.

  6. What awesome thing will you do when your book is published?
Take a trip to the coast after the blog tour!

  7. What book would you like to see turned into a movie?
I don't know. Books are such a personal experience. Those I think I would enjoy seeing played out, usually aren't nearly as great as the book. Yet amazing movies are often made from short stories of all kinds, essays, and memoirs.

  8. Where were you born?
Houston - hence the expression, "Houston, we have a problem." Kidding :)

  9. Name a place you'd like to visit some day.
Every place I haven't visited yet.

10. Are you a Summer, Winter, Fall, or Spring?
I love all the seasons. Someone just asked something similar on a blog the other day, and I don't remember how I answered. If I remembered who asked, I'd just go copy and paste. I only started really liking summer a few years ago. Now it's my favorite, as long as I have air conditioning, even those 100+ days. Next would be fall, then spring, then winter. Before I came to love summer, summer would have been last on the list.

11. Any regrets?
Nope. Any changes would make me different from who I am now.

As usual, this award is yours for the taking. Enjoy!

Starting Wednesday, I'm running a nine-day giveaway on Goodreads for two signed paperback copies of In Name Only. You can enter from Goodreads or from the button at the top of my right-hand sidebar.
Feel free to share the giveaway information
anywhere and everywhere!

Great answers, Carol. Interesting stripper name, though for safety sake, I think I'll stick with your real name. :)

Love that stripper name.

Short stories are perfect for movie adaptations. I'm still waiting for a really good Lovecraft film based on one of his stories.
Jennifer Shirk said…
Houston we have a problem--lol!!

Added your book to my Goodreads TBR list!

Sugar Lustytush almost made me spew my water- HA!

I'm with you on 109- intact and alert.

Very interesting interview~
Carol Kilgore said…
Alex - Yep! That's one reason.

Stina - Good thinking :)

Diane - Two short story writers that immediately come to mind for me that have lots of films to their credit are Philip K. Dick and Stephen King.

Jennifer - Cool!

Shelly - Definitely intact and alert :)

Karen - Yeah. It's a magical number :)

ROFL #s 1, 4 & 8
xD
I've never had a nickname either. I always feared it would be something unflattering. No one wants to be stuck with an unflattering nickname.

(Sugar Lustytush is definitely not unflattering, mind you... at least not for you)

We're looking forward to the giveaway!

Interesting that Sugar, I mean Tara, has changed her mind about which season she likes best. I like summer best, too :)
Emily R. King said…
Ha! Great nickname, Tara. But it's already taken. ;)

Love this interview!
Carol Kilgore said…
Janie - You can't have it. It's mine LOL :)

Yvonne - Glad you enjoyed the post.

Southpaw - Yeah, well, moving right along....

Lydia - Yeah! *fist pump*

Melissa - Cool!

Beer/Shower - Sugar says thank you :) Good luck in the giveaway!

mshatch - That would be me, not Tara. I'm amazed by how much I love summer :)

Emily - Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.

I see I needed to put my editor hat on before I scheduled this post. The line about Tara's questions and my answers should read:

Here are MY ANSWERS TO Tara's infamous eleven questions:

Sorry about the confusion.

Miss Lustytush I like #8. May I call you Sugar?
Robin said…
I will only call you SugarLushytush on ::special:: occasions.

Eclectic bunch of famous people. It would be interesting to have them all in the same room for sure.
Okay, I love your stripper name :P And you can have all the summer in the world! I hope you get to visit every place you haven't visited yet :)
Linda Kage said…
Why am I suddenly picture a 109-year-old stripper named Sugar Lushytush playing pool with Prince Harry?
Too funny!
M Pax said…
Love that nickname. It's awesome. Summer used to be last on my list, too, until I found the observatory.
Carol Kilgore said…
David - Only if you're brave enough :)

Robin - :) I like to mix things up from time to time.

Words Crafter - Thanks! And I hope I do, too :)

Linda K - I'm smiling at that one! What an image!

Mary - It does have a certain ring LOL!
Christine Rains said…
That's the best nickname ever! Ooh, giveaway. I've got to get my hands on your next book. Solomon's Compass was extraordinary!
J.L. Campbell said…
Hey, Carol,

Not sure I wanna be around at 109. I better start exercising just in case I get there.

The summer is HOT! Not my favourite time of year at all.

Hope the giveaway goes well.
With a name like Sugar L, you just might live to 109... I'm just not so sure about the teeth ;)

Its always great to get to know a fellow blogette a little.better. Thanks for sharing. Amd I have Pop Travel ready to read as soon.as I wrap up my current fead.

What a GREAT nickname. I forget the rules about how to create it...but my hubs was next to me when I read it and spit chardonnay on my screen...so i think I need some help making my own stripper name...for his sake...
Tina @ Life is Good
I don't have a nickname not sure what I would like if I did have one.........lol

I would love to live to be 101 but I want my mind pretty much intact and to be able to walk and go to the toilet on my own.......

I love most books except mushy romance novels
Helena said…
Lustytush's book is now on my to-read list. What a great nickname. The only one I ever had was when I was a kid -- it was Foghorn.
May I please come to that small patio party, Sugar? I'd even bring the food just for the opportunity to meet THAT eclectic group. (I'm sure the pope and Ellen would get along just dandy...)

(Great answers!)

sugar lustytush...what a hottie! loved it
Carol Kilgore said…
Christine - Thanks for the plug!

Joy - I'm not a heat lover either, so it's strange. I can do heat as long as I know I can cool down anytime I need to, whether it's every five minutes or longer. I especially love summer evenings with a breeze.

Lynda - If I needed a nickname, I wanted it to be a really super one :)

Stephen - Tara provided great questions.

Tina - Wine is good :) I don't still have that email or I'd forward it to you. It's the one where you take one of the letters of your first name to find your stripper first name and then two of the letters of your last name and put the two names that match those letters together to form your stripper last name. I got lucky!

Jo-Anne - I didn't have one either...but I do now!

Helena - Cool :) Love Foghorn!

Susan - Only if you bring steamed crab :) I think the group would be awesome.

Tammy - I need to find myself a big Dolly Parton wig :)
Misha Gerrick said…

I don't believe in regrets, either.

I love that nickname!

I would love to live until I'm 109 but only if I have my mind. Or else, it's just not fun.
cleemckenzie said…
109 is a very big number. Kind of scary to think ahead that far, too. I wonder if Sugar Lustytush will be fairly common by the time you get there.

Gwen Gardner said…
"Houston, we have a problem." LOL! I loved your answers, Tara!

Hi Carol! I'm headed over to GoodReads :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Misha - It's fun discovering new things.

Medeia - Cool.

Clarissa - Yes! Gotta have my mind.

Lee - I guess I'll just ask everyone to call me Sugar, and we'll see how it goes LOL!

Gwen - Giveaway begins in a little over six hours from now. If I calculated correctly, which is always in question.

Fabulous interview. Summer is last on my list. I grew up near Miami and I now relish the snow, ice, fall colors, all that. Summer is nostalgic, but not my fave. I need to fall in love with it again, like you.
Luanne G. Smith said…
I don't think I could take a Texas summer. But winter is a different story. I'm thinking it's almost time for me to become a snowbird and go south. Fun answers, Ms. Lustytush.
Inger said…

Kim - I would love to have that party, too!

Nutschell - Writing would be nice, that would mean I still had a mind :)

Raquel - I did fall in love with summer :)

Luanne - Ya gotta be tough to handle Texas summers :) We have awesome winters, though!

Inger - Glad you liked the answers. And thanks for the mention :)

Nas - Sure...go for it!
Great interview! I visit Tara's blog quite frequently actually. The "Houston we have a problem" answer cracked me up :)
