You forgot money and bank accounts lol. They have trouble staying together over here.
When I'm tired, I don't even try to keep my thoughts together.

Amen to #1. My brain doesn't do "tired" with any grace at all.

Hi Carol,

loved the last one!

My thoughts were so far apart this morning I poured creamer in what I thought was my coffee. Turns out I put hot apple cider in my Keurig this morning.
Julie Flanders said…
Big amen to #1. Although I can't seem to keep my thoughts together even when I'm not tired lately LOL.

Enjoy your weekend, Carol. :)

When I am tired my thoughts desert me. Have a great weekend.

I'd have put 'socks' as #1, but then, I have three kids. LOL

Great list! :)

I think I've been suffering from #1 a lot lately.

Happy Friday.
mshatch said…
Yeah, I want to know what's up with #6. How does that happen? I organize all my containers neatly, make certain there's a top for every one, and 3 months later somehow, there isn't.
LD Masterson said…
I loved Diane's comment.

For me - anything I put away and the place I put it. I know they're not staying together because the thing is never in the place when I go back for it.

Excellent! I have trouble aligning my two brain cells! One is always going awol! xx
Carol Kilgore said…
Delores - That's for sure! They have trouble staying together here, too.

Alex, Linda G, Editors, Rachna, Luanne - Good to know I'm not the only one with that problem.

Diane - That's one thing I haven't done. Yet. Don't imagine that was too tasty, LOL.

Julie - I will. You, too!

Melissa - Three kids explains that one perfectly!

mshatch - And they're spilling out of the basket. It's a constant battle.

LD - LOL! I have a place where I put things that I want to be sure not to lose. I'm forever cleaning it out because it gets stuffed. And every time I throw things out. And I find at least one thing that makes me say, 'Oh, I forgot about this,' and one that makes me say, 'Oh, there it is!'
Carol Kilgore said…
CATachresis - We crossed. I LOL'd at your awol statement! I have days like that. A lot, here lately :)
Linda Kage said…
Bwa ha ha ha! Great list. I bet your eyelids don't have a problem staying together when you're tired though!

With what goes on in my life my thoughts are utter confusion.

Enjoy your week-end,
Yvonne,

Most definite on #1. What happens to the lids or the bottoms? I put them in one place yet they get mismatched. And what happens to socks?
cleemckenzie said…
Oh yes to that list. As to the thoughts. . .without my list I'd never keep two together at any time.
Liza said…
Oh yes...#1 is key!

Socks. Definitely, socks. :P

1, yes, 2, yes, 3 and 6 checked too. 10, of course. The only one I do feel bad about is 1, though. The rest, I blame it to the alternate dimensions. :)
Christine Rains said…
Hehehe! Great list. Have a wonderful weekend!
Carol Kilgore said…
Linda K - You got me on that one!

Yvonne - You do have more than your share of problems. And you handle them with class and beauty.

Mary - Lids and bottoms like to really mix it up at our house. I'm surprised I haven't discovered a sock mixed in.

Lee and Liza - More of us!

Lexa - I'm convinced every washer and dryer comes with its own sock fairy.

Al - You may be onto something :)

Christine - Thanks. You, too!

Tired. Thoughts. Yeah.

In my case, the earrings ring ever so true. My thoughts do get splattered when I'm tired.:)

Socks, with three men, all who wear the same size sock and leave them all over the house, are now treated to a basket of socks in the exact same condition they arrived to me in the laundry room, except clean. YOU unfold, unroll, etc. and see how clean they really get...sorry...hit a nerve...

I had a very clever response to this very clever post, and the internet went down. Now I can't remember what it was. I guess you'll have to add witty repartee and VR to your list. :)

Janie - Mine are sure tired about now.

Joy - I'm not as bad as I used to be about removing one.

Tina - Sounds like a perfect solution to me!

VR - LOL! I hate when that happens.
Trisha said…
Totally agree with that first comment re: bank accounts. Mine are a bit battered lately ;)

Nice list!
I'm having that problem with thoughts too. Solution? Take more naps.
Since my eyelids are drooping about now (even more than normal, I mean) I'm struggling to get all my synapses firing in the proper order, so oh yeah, I can definitely relate to your #1. Big time.

Have a super weekend.
I would like to add wet hands and slippery soap.............
I would like my brain cells to be on speaking terms. They seem to be going through an acrimonious divorce and will not play nicely with each other. Thoughts? Gone.
However, socks stay together in this house - and so do earrings (which is just as well because I have many, many pairs).
Brilliant list. Thank you.
LOL! #1 for sure :) And socks. For me, that would be #2. Fun list!

My money and I are usually soon parted -- does that count? And recently I finally tossed out my pile of single socks. I concluded their mates must have been eaten by the washing machine.
LOL some plots. I loved this list. I would also add tupperware containers and their lids :)
Oh wait nevermind you already had that listed!!
A fool and his money are soon parted!
Okay, a lame response, but that's the first thing that came to mind...
What about a pair of socks?

Trisha, Helena, Michelle - Ahh, yes...the dear old $$$. There's never enough around here either.

Patricia - If I haven't reached the fatigued stage, sometimes it helps me to just close my eyes and listen to music for a few minutes. I'm not a natural napper, so a nap makes me feel worse.

Susan and Words Crafter - If I'm really tired, it's a struggle to think of anything.

Jo-Anne - That's a great example!

EC - Great for you with the firmly committed socks and earrings!

OE - Have another cup of coffee :)

And #8 is a sad one. Come August, it'll be 29 years for my wife and me.
Carol Kilgore said…
Jeff - Congratulations! Think it will last? LOL :)

I was so busy yesterday I didn't have the time to pop by and get my weekly top 10.

Socks are a mystery, especially when you put a pair in and they divorce while in the spin cycle.

When I'm tired? Forget it. I don't even try to keep it together.

Have a great week, Carol!

ha. i hear you...i have several plastic containers if you happen to have the lids that fit them...

I think I have four half-pairs of gloves. The funny things is, I almost always lose the right hand, so I can't even put together a mismatched set.
Anonymous said…
Yeah...plots. About that. My current WiP is a serious mess. Guess I'll have some major cleaning to do on the first revision.
Anonymous said…
I'm always losing earrings.

#1 sounds like me.
Carol Kilgore said…
Sia - Laughing at 'divorced socks' - great phrase!

Old Kitty - Purrfect!

Brian - All kinds of lids. All kinds of containers. None match :(

Jeff - Try mittens! Or knit gloves with no design. You can wear on either hand :)

Milo - Yes. I'm messing with the plot on my WIP. I feel your pain - LOL!

Medeia - I'm not as bad as I once was, but I still lose them, too. Always the ones I really like!
Nas said…
Awesome top ten! But have to agree with above comment-money and bank acc never stays together too!
Carol Kilgore said…
So true here as well, Nas.
ha!! I'm forever hunting for the other half of a pair of earrings... siigh.
