Friday's Top Ten

Since I took a short break and have since been busy catching up on everything I let slide during April, I haven't settled back into a routine. So...

The top ten things this list is not about this week:

10. Anything to do with writing

  9. Or blogging

  8. Anything to do with Facebook

  7. Or Twitter

  6. Or Goodreads

  5. Anything to do with organization

  4. Or schedules

  3. Anything about Firefighters

  2. Or Coasties

And the #1 thing this list isn't about this week:

  1. Anything remotely constructive or meaningful

Happy Weekend!

Nothing better than a list of things you DON'T have to do.

Great post Carol.

Yvonne.
I love your "constructively meaningless" post!
We need these kinds of posts sometimes, to keep sane.

Hmmm. Can't talk about writing or reading. Then I guess I can't mention what I got in the mail from Amazon a couple days ago. :-)

No routine? Sounds like a well-deserved post blog-break recovery week to me. Have a great weekend, Carol!

Yeah, takes awhile to get back into the routine. Although, letting things slide has its appeal. :D

Have a great weekend, Carol.

It's these meaningless lists and blogs that are the funnest to read!!

Sounds like a great 'non-list', so get out there and enjoy yourself! :)

That sounds so peaceful and pleasant. I have to stop worrying about so many things and just do what I want to do for a change. You've inspired me! :-D

Alex, Delores, Yvonne, Michelle - I may have found my brain on vacation, but it's not operating at capacity yet. It was very tired. This was all it could produce :)

LD - You can talk after you finish :)

VR - I'm having to recover from recovery :)

Teresa - Sometimes I just need to do nothing.

Julie - I needed it bad!

Laura - I plan to :)

Linda K - I'm glad...I have a lot of them LOL :)

Mark - Too funny! Here's to a happy weekend for all!

Lexa - I was drowning. I'm trying to reclaim my life.

Enjoy, not having to do these things. I am sure you can do with a break and if you get worried, there is always next week to sort everything out...or the week after that...
I can definitely relate to this list!

Linda G - I know we've all been at that point.

Jennifer - Good to know I'm not the only one!

Murees - I hope to clear out all my backlog next week and be ready to move forward after Memorial Day.

Julie, Wendy, Johanna - Sometimes it's just really nice not to have to think!

Some time off from the social media sounds really nice.

Hey, sometimes you just need a break from it all! And getting off a computer and going outside sounds wonderful. I bet your dogs appreciated your freedom.

I think a lot of us should step away from the computer. :)
Enjoy!

This WORKS FOR ME..... Have an AWESOME WEEKEND, Carol!
That sounds a perfect top ten. For many more days than Friday. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Carol,

So what's it to be?

Taking a break? Or catching up?

Both are important.

My last post wasn't all that constructive or meaningful either. :P

I think we all need a break from everything we 'have' to do or are 'supposed' to do. I know I wouldn't mind one - preferably somewhere like your header pic :)

Hoping you're well rested to jump back into the writing fray.

Mary - I took a whole week off, and then was sporadic this week. Maybe next week I'll be a little more present. It was very nice :)

Helena - The dogs are lazy bums LOL! We've all had a great time :)

CATachresis - Like a kitty basking in the sunshine :)

Shelley - I plan to do so more often.

Michael - Thanks! You, too :)

EC and Jo-Anne - Sometimes I just need a little bit more break than I think I do :)

Maria - First vacation, now I'm playing catch up...for two months worth of paper and chores. Hope to finish this week and be back in business by the following one.

DWei - Sometimes it's like that for all of us :)

mshatch - I agree! That's Galveston. I could be there by five o'clock :)

Joy - Almost :)

Constructive and meaningful are overrated. ;) Gils just gotta have fun sometimes.

I've found the happiest weekend are those I'm away from writing and social networking!

And yet here I am blogging. Time to just walk away.

Mmmmm. I'm going to go with specified days too. That way I can get on with my novel ( I think I avoided use of all those on your non-list).

Btw, I've popped over from Alex's site and your novel sounds great.

Hi Carol! Stopping by to say hi :) Also to tell you that there's no set day that you'll need to "review" someone. It's a "when you can" sort of thing, so you can review your person when you have the time to do so. Thanks so much for signing up and I'll contact you soon with your person! Thanks again, R.
Carol Kilgore said…
Janet - So true.

Fe - Good for you! Thanks for stopping by.

Randi Lee - Cool. I'll watch for it.
