Friday's Top Ten

The top ten places my mind may be hiding:

10. In the chimney

  9. On the roof

  8. In the attic

  7. At the zoo

  6. Over at Fred's

  5. Under the bed

  4. In a bar

  3. Behind a tree (it's pretty small)

  2. In a book

And the #1 place my mind may be hiding:

  1. In Live-In Handyman's sock drawer

One March Monday Mania day is still available - March 18.
If you would like to blog at Under the Tiki Hut
AND if you will do a giveaway
please mention it in the comments
and I will contact you by email.

If it's in the sock drawer does that mean the dryer ate one of handyman's socks?

Why are there always odd socks?

Loved your top ten carol.
Enjoy your week-end.

There may be dust bunnies under the bed. Better save it.

In the sock drawer-I love that. Mine is usually at the kitchen sink or in the corner of the kitchen bent over my little (table) desk.
'In a bar' wa the first thing which came to mind when I started reading this and there it was at no. 4. Great minds?

Mine absconded years ago. Must not have been doing me much good as I don't seem to miss it. :)

Me! Me! Me! I got something I'd like to talk about. Now that I've calmed down a little, the attic is a good place for me. I could hide away and read a good book.

See, I think I lost my mind in the attic. Better go find it. :D

LOL! My mind is definitely off somewhere else today. If you find it in Live-In Handyman's sock drawer, could you please return it to me.

I think I'd love to blog Under The Tikki Hut someday. March 18th just so happens to be my big book blast day for my next book! Coincidence?? I think it's a sign.

LOL- the sock drawer- hmmm I wonder what inspiration would come from your mind hiding there. Great list! I love Fridays with you.

Hmmm... I recently said my mind was sputtering like a lawn mower left out in the rain and running out of gas. I know right where it is. What I can't figure out is why it's not functioning correctly...
Linda G. said…
LOL! Could you check those places for mine, while you're at it? I seem to have misplaced it.
Carol Kilgore said…
Alex - Our dryer prefers my socks.

Yvonne - Maybe all dryers come with sock wormholes?

Diane - There's no "may be" about it. The 13 Colonies are regrouping under there :)

Janet - Didn't think to check the kitchen sink. Will do that right away!

Nas - Yes! Great minds!
~Sia McKye~ said…
Not sure where mine is either but if I run into yours I'll be sure to send it home. :-)

Thankfully mine doesn't particularly like snow so I don't have to worry about digging out my poor lil frozen brain out of the snow in the North East. Whew!

I think my mind went on vacation and forgot to return.

I've looked all over my desk and it's not here......maybe I left it in the car.
Carol Kilgore said…
Oops - I see my last comment should have been to Maria, not Nas. Sorry, my bad :)

VR - LOL!

J.L. - Yay! We'll chat. Be careful in the attic :)

Linda K - Will email you.

Summer - Maybe you could write a kid's book about something hiding in a sock drawer :)

Julie L - Maybe it needs a new spark plug :)
Julie Flanders said…
Haha, if your mind decided to hide in my sock drawer I'm afraid it would never be found. Someday I'm going to organize those socks!

Can't wait to be part of March Monday Mania! Happy Friday and weekend, Carol! :)

At the zoo...maybe with the monkeys. That's where mine would be.
LD Masterson said…
I found mine in the clothes dryer last week. Toasty warm but a little shaken up.

Did you look under the sofa? I often find my loose marbles rolled under there.

Your Friday's Top Ten, are beyond funny. I just love them!

His sock drawer! LOL
I suppose it would be warm and comfy. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Linda G - If it shows up, I'll send it home :)

Sia - Thanks! I'm very happy to be here in some warm Texas sunshine today.

Ciara - Maybe mine thinks it's Spring Break already.

Delores - Hope it shows up!

Julie F - I'm looking forward to March, too!

Luanne G. Smith said…
Well, at least your mind wasn't in the gutter. I looked while I was there. Didn't see it. :D

Have a great weekend!

Your mind is so very brave, Carol- neither my mind nor my hands will go anywhere near the live-in's sock drawer!
And I do hope you allow your mind into the gutter now and then. Those of us who hang out there permanently would love to see you. :D
Melissa said…
At least you know where yours is. Mine just goes AWOL. :P
Jemi Fraser said…
Hmmm ... I wonder if that's where my has got to as well??? Enjoy the weekend!

I think mine wandered into a book. It's always trying to get into books.

Carol Kilgore said…
Johanna - Playtime!

LD - I'll check there :)

Stephen - Ah-ha! I'll look there right after checking the dryer :)

Wendy - Cool, I'm glad!

Laura - Lots of places to burrow :)
Christine Rains said…
Maybe it went to all those places! Hope you and it have a good weekend. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Luanne - Oh! I wish I'd thought of that one! I'm jealous :)

Kelly - I think it's been too busy to have time to play there over the last few months. It will return, I'm sure :)

Melissa - Yep. That happens :)

Jemi - Take a peek and find out :)

Golden Eagle - "So many books; so little time."

Christine - Thanks! You, too :)
My mind likes to hide somewhere quiet but it doesn't stay there long as someone is always barging in and wanting me
Helena said…
My mind is somewhere in outer space. Or sleeping on the sofa with my kitty. Or hiding in a good book and hoping it won't be disturbed.
The sock drawer is a dangerous hiding place, especially if Live-In Handyman has clammy feet! I think mine has been next to the ice cream for too long! Fun list Carol!

I've lost mine. Looked in those places... still looking.
Martha said…
Pretty sure I left mine at work ;)
Carol Kilgore said…
Jo-Anne - I think that's why mine ran away :)

Helena - Mine would love the book one.

Julie - LOL! No clammy feet here :)

Clarissa - Same here. Sigh.

Martha - Good spot for a mind :)
Kerrie said…
Mine likes to hide on the river.
Carol Kilgore said…
Kerrie - If it was summer here, I'd say mine might be tubing on the river, but it's not quite time for that yet :)
This is too funny Carol!
Did you know there is an exotic little spot called Podiatrist Bay where all the odd socks hang out...?
Old Kitty said…
I want to be at Fred's too! Whoever he is! I hope he has a brother - with clean socks! LOL!

Take care
x
Carol Kilgore said…
Michelle - Podiatrist Bay! Love it :)

Old Kitty - Check my Facebook Page...

I can't decide if mine is under my pillow or underneath the dirty dishes. I'll find out today.

Um, some cliches are good. ;)

I've never sent myself flowers, I'm too cheap. I have sent them to family and friends before.

Southpaw - I found your comment :)

I organized my own sock drawer the other day. It was quite a project!
Carol Kilgore said…
LR - I can imagine. I don't even have that many socks and mine's full. Mostly I wear sandals or flip flops.
Brinda said…
I bet it's pretty crowded in the sock drawer. Just sayin...
