Hmmm, wonder what made summer so special...

Congrats again on your release this week! Time for a margarita...or two.

Yes, a frozen margarita. :)

I bet you will!

Summer makes it harder to be at the computer too. I know for me there are so many things that need doing that my time on the computer is limited.

HOT, oh yah! Better this past week but oh summers are busy regardless of the heat. Can I say, I'm looking forward to fall? And normal routines?

Have a great weekend Carol!

Your list was great for those who think it's summer.
We here in the UK are under flood alerts and torrential rain.
Perhaps our summer will be spent on the beach at Christmas.

Yvonne.

Hey Carol! I've been so behind in my blog reading that I hadn't realized your book was out. I think I read about it on Julie's blog. Congrats!!! How exciting! And yes, I'll always remember this summer for the record-breaking heat...and for, hopefully, finally completing my memoir! Yay for you! You are way ahead of me!!
Yay for summer. One of my fav times of the year.
You've worked so hard to be able to enjoy this summer! Thanks for bringing Summer to us In Name Only! Julie

Alex - This one for sure!

Laura - A Summer summer, LOL.

Linda G - :)

Julie - I am tired, but I can't wimp out yet. I still have things to do before a take some hours in the day to catch up on reading. Then it's back to my WIP. And yes, I am still thrilled!

L.G. - I agree about the Margarita!

LR - If I could have voted, my vote would have been cast for frozen. Like them both, but love frozen more.

Sia - I'm looking forward to a normal routine, too!

Yvonne - Nothing wrong with a beach Christmas :)

J.L. - I do OK in the shade and with a breeze. Otherwise, I'm toast. And AC is always good :)

Becky - Thanks! And congrats on completing your memoir :)

RaShelle - One of mine, too!

Julie - I loved bringing Summer to you!

I downed a pint full of freshly snapped green beans the other day...without sharing with the kid and hubby! I love love summer veggies!

I'm spending most of my time indoors.

Congrats on the release of your book. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Linda - Now I'm starving! I love fresh green beans. So yummy :)

Medeia - Thanks! My feet still aren't staying on the ground all the time, but I'm hoping to be back to my regular self by Monday. It's hot and steamy here today - more like the coast than 'the real' San Antonio :)
The cool-down has happened here...hope it comes for you soon!

Elizabeth - Lucky you! But summer isn't done yet. Hang on.

Golden Eagle - Thanks!

Thanks for reminding us Brits what summer is supposed to be like. All we have is rain. Oh, and floods. Grey skies too. ;)

Love your #1!

It's so hot down here, every time it rains, I cheer! I'm so happy your book is doing well.

Our summer is cold and wet and nore like autumn. Our spring was more like summer. Enjoy :O)
Carol Kilgore said…
Shirley - Move to Texas!

Clarissa - I know that feeling. We had rain midweek. It was wonderful!

Madeleine - Maybe you'll skip winter this year with a long, glorious autumn and an early spring :)
Not a great summer in uk - it's barely stopped raining never mind seeing the sun! It is to hoped that Autumn brings some half decent weather!

It's really hot here. REALLY hot.

Congrats again on your first book.

For me, it's time for everyone smelling like coconut, Maxi dresses, and wild toenail polish.

It's hot, but not as hot as my childhood summers in South Florida--without any air conditioning!!!!

This will always be the sweetest summer for you! Congrats again.

What a wonderful summer for you indeed! I hope you are soaking up every bit of it cuz you deserve to.

special note to all my favourite bloggers - I wanted to stop by all my fave places and tell you that I’m sorry I haven’t been by much (or commenting). I’ve been on a tremendous writing jag – the likes of that I haven’t experienced since the year I left university (sixteen years ago – I was a late scholar). I have written 65 thousand so far since the beginning of June on a new book and fifty new poems (facebook every day with a photo). It is all great fun but it eats up all my time as I’m also working and trying to sell our house. I thought I’d take some time today and just tell you that I totally appreciate both your blog and your comments on mine and I will be back in full force soon! I have a mystery to revise and one to finish but I think I just revised too long and now I’m writing freeeeeee

Pat - I've been hearing about your cool, wet weather. Hope you get another little taste of summer soon :)

Diane - Same here. I appreciate all congrats!

Raquel - Yes! All those fun things, too.

Jan - I am being a total sponge! And loving every minute of it. I'm envious of all your new words.

Way to go, Carol! Things are muggy here along the coast, but we'll be hitting the beach ASAP.
Carol Kilgore said…
Old Kitty - The firemen will return. Just too much going on right now. Stay dry :)

Milo - We had a muggy day last week. I'm ready for the beach, too!

I can't believe I've been chilly while in Florida after surviving 106 degrees in Georgia. There is just something wrong with that. I'm so happy for you Carol!
Carol Kilgore said…
Ciara - I know that feeling, too! Thanks :)
