Yes, I just realized it was after reading the paper. How about "Friday the 13th is a good day to go to the Tiki Club for a pina colada"? :)

Have a nice weekend.

Yeah, I noticed that we had a lot of Friday the 13ths this year. But we have had them before, and we survived.

Happy Friday the thirteenth!!!

The day before my wedding was a Friday the Thirteenth, but thankfully all that went well. :-)

That's interesting--no more than three in a year.
Happy Friday the 13th! :-)

Good stuff Carol. I had forgotten today was the 13th.

I've only ever had one disastrous Friday 13th and on that day, everything that COULD go wrong, did.
To me it's just another day.
Some interesting points made in your post.

Yvonne.

Raising my coffee cup in a toast to a great Friday the 13th ... Cheers :)

Happy Friday the 13th!

I don't really mind them -- I've never had anything awful happen on one. (Oops. Hope I didn't just jinx it! *knocks wood*)
We get three this year? We've been warned...

I hadn't even thought about it being Friday the 13th. WOW, great facts especially #8. Have a great Friday the 13th.

Duh. I didn't even realize it was Friday the 13th until this post. I think I need more coffee.

Have a great weekend!! That is, if you survive today. Duh, duh, DUH. :))

funny how people focus on the thirteenth.
*knock on wood*

I didn't know any of that. As far as 2029 goes, that's only a worry if we get past Dec 21, 2012, right? ;)
Who comes up with those phobia names? #9 looks like a fear of parakeets.

I heard most people won't get married on Fri 13th, but this year they've had more bookings!
I didn't' know about #8. I like 13 and Fridays. Whaaaaaaaaaa

I didn't know there were no more than 3 in a year, that's interesting. Although I guess that is kind of a lot considering there are only 12 months!

Fun list as always. Happy weekend, Carol! :)

Very interesting. I had forgotten about today being the 13th - oh well - it is a good day to stay home. Look out at the snow and write.

Happy, happy Friday the 13th! I love Butch Cassidy. :-)
Wow, cool info about Friday the 13th. I've never seen the entire Friday the 13th movies. I've never seen any of them.
Carol Kilgore said…
LR - Oh, I like that Friday the 13th idea!

Colette - Seems like just a few years ago was another bumper crop.

Linda K - It was a good omen!

Jennifer - Same to you :)

Slamdunk - Maybe that's a good thing, LOL!
Carol Kilgore said…
Delores - Every once in a while I have days like that that aren't Friday the 13th.

Yvonne - Most times I don't pay attention, but then there are times like today.

Joanne - Cheers back!

Linda G - Here's to no jinx.

Alex - Yes, you have :)

#8--so that's how you can tell without having to count each day. I'd always wondered.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Cool information. Thanks.
Fascinating post. Who knew Friday the thirteenth had so much going for it?

Mason - It was a duh moment for me, too, LOL.

Luanne - It's after 6pm and I'm still here - knock on wood!

Huntress - Yeah, like that :)

Madeleine - Wonder why that is? The more bookings, I mean.

Teresa - I pretty much do, too.

I don't put any stock in Friday the 13th...at least not until today. Blogger terminated my blog for an hour this morning and erased all of the comments I'd left on other blogspot blogs, including yours!
I had said that #9 sounds like a phobia of parrots. :)
Here's to no more blogger issues!
I've never been superstitious about it either because my birthday is June 13, so I've had some fine birthdays on Friday the 13th!
Carol Kilgore said…
Julie - Mostly I never thought about any of this until I decided to write about it.

Janet - Snow...ahh! Enjoy.

Tracy Jo - Hope yours was great!

RaShelle - I've only seen one of them - don't recall which one - LOL.

Golden Eagle - Now you'll be the smartest one around next time talk rolls around to Friday the 13th :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Southpaw - You're welcome.

Donna - If we could only figure out how to call them holidays....

Laura - I'm glad you're back in business. After my own run-ins with Blogger, I know it's no fun. I didn't attempt to pronounce either of them.

Karen - I'll bet those were the most fun ones!

Before the accident, my disabled daughter had a "thing" about Friday the 13th. She would say one-three, never thirteen! She claims it's because she almost got hit by a car one day walking to the junior high school. She would love your entire list. I will have to print it out for her!

Great tidbits! I had no idea. I've always loved Friday the 13th. It always feels like something should happen.
Carol Kilgore said…
Ann - Maybe Jen is the reason I wrote the list.

Mary - It does seem as if magic is in the air.
Manzanita said…
I never know the date or even what day it is. Guess I better get a life, huh? Well, that way, I never know when it's the 13th either. :)
Talli Roland said…
Fidel Castro? Seriously?

That explains a lot. :)

Happy weekend, Carol!
Denise Covey said…
Hi Carol. Well it's no longer today and I got through unscathed. How about you?

Denise
Carol Kilgore said…
Manzanita - I know the day, date, and year. But with time, I'm a very -ish person. I'm somewhere in the ballpark, but that's about it.

Talli - Of course.

Denise - Except for a little bump, unscathed here, as well :)

I'm not superstitious, although that might help explain why I had such a difficult time formatting my book for Kindle. After a long day of frustration though I finally got it right!
Carol Kilgore said…
Yea, Stephen! You get an A for persistence and a job well done :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Laura - You comment got hung up in Blogger's spam filter, and I just found it. I think the same people that come up with those names come up with the words for Word Verification.
I didn't realize that there were so many Friday the 13ths this year! I'll try not to walk under any ladders then. Julie

I never figured that months beginning on a Sunday would have a Friday the 13th.

Interesting facts, Carol.

Have a great week.
Ha! Love this. Ooo, two more this year. I enjoy any day with a hint of spooky magic.

Why weren't all the movies released on Friday the 13th?!
Carol Kilgore said…
Medeia - Neither did I until I read it, then I was like 'oh yeah'.

Theresa - Don't know. Only 4 of however many there are - a lot.
