Comments
I make salsa verde all the time!
Thanks.
Hart - We can usually plant things in February. Eat your heart out :)
Jennifer - Me, too.
Linda - Made myself hungry, too - LOL
Clarissa - Same here. Thanks.

And anyone who doesn't like fried okra is either not a true southerner or just plain don't know what's really good tastin'. Pass the fried okra please cause it sure is hard to find here in Los Angeles.

Tossing It Out
LR - I'm sure it will. I love how lightweight it is and the sound it makes when you thump it. And the color.
Laura - Me, too. I keep saying that.
VR - I read somewhere just the other day that knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing never to put it in a fruit salad. Wish I'd written that.
Maryann - Ours are long gone. We have been getting some good ones roadside. And sweet Fredericksburg peaches.
Manzanita - My Scorpio imagination is alive and well! You could probably grow okra in a pot with gummy clay soil, a heat lamp on it for 12-14 hours a day, and a dump of water every other afternoon.
Elspeth - I'm always hungry.
Have a fab weekend! x
Happy summer!
Talei - Absolutely!
Lisa - Guacamole and salsa are great with everything.
Theresa - I like okra and tomatoes cooked together, too. You can also add rice and bacon or chopped ham.
Elana - Totally agree!
Donna v.
Jayne - Or wrapped in a warm tortilla with pico de gallo :)
