I was hoping "I have a great story for you" wouldn't be on there, cause I wanted to say that. I've heard that recently.

But let's add. "You write it, and since it was my idea, we'll split all the many profits!"

Great list, and so true! I get #7, #6, and #5 A LOT. I also get "Romance, huh?"...with a big smirk on their face. Argh.

Shirley - Oh yeah, those are definitely the words that follow.

Summer - I'm not surprised.

Linda - I know. Sad.

Talli - It's a global phenomenon.

Rula - That romance thing is definitely there, but almost any type of genre gets it, too.

I got a big chuckle out your list, especially the "what do you do all day?" I'm not a writer but I always get that one, too. Me, the list maker with never a spare moment. Ha

I thought I'd had them all but, so far, no one has asked me #4. People who utter #1 get put in one of my books with a hole in their head. Just sayin' :)

I just got one this morning - an email from an old friend. He wants me to contact a friend of his who just wrote a novel and tell him how to get published because he has no idea... Snap! Sure, let me give you the golden secret, no research involved.

This really made me laugh out loud. Since I took part in NaNoWriMo last November, the question I get all the time is "How's that novel coming along?" Glad I'm the only one who hears these kinds of statements. Thanks! -Miss GOP

LR - I know. I isn't as if we go looking or leave out cookies for them so they'll come.
