Unofficial NaNo Poll
Did you participate in NaNo?
Did you reach your goal - whether or not your goal was 50,000 words?
How do you feel about NaNo now that you've done it?
Do you still like your NaNo project?

All of you who committed to NaNo have my admiration. Kudos to you.  So if you participated in NaNo and would like to post the Leaping Tiki on your sidebar, here it is, in honor of participating in NaNoWriMo 2010 and in being a guest at the Tiki Hut after party.

The party's still going on, so hang around as long as you like.

And in keeping with the party spirit . . .

When man-eater Mattie Johns agrees to star on a dating game show to save her ailing recruitment business, she's confident she'll sail through to the end without letting down the perma-guard she's perfected from years of her love 'em and leave 'em dating strategy. After all, what can go wrong with dating a few losers and hanging out long enough to pick up a juicy £200,000 prize? Plenty, Mattie discovers, when it's revealed that the contestants are four of her very unhappy exes. Can Mattie confront her past to get the prize money she so desperately needs, or will her exes finally wreak their long-awaited revenge? And what about the ambitious TV producer whose career depends on stopping her from making it to the end? finally arrived.

Talli's Kindle release day has finally arrived. Go to Amazon TODAY and order The Hating Game to help boost her sales ranking.

Yea, Talli. You rock!

Congrats to all the NaNo participants whether they reached the 50,000 or not!!! Have a great day at the "party."

I've posted for Talli also on my blog. I think she's going to do well with this, mainly because this is such a supportive blogging community!!!

Congrats to the NaNo writers for their accomplishments. I didn't participate, except to cheer them on from the sidelines.

And best wishes to Talli, hoping her book takes top billing!

Yah! Party... and with chocolates and taquitos!

I did finish my 50,000 but I still have a lot of work to do. Progress, that's something.

Congrats to everyone else.

PAR-TAY! PAR-TAY! PAR-TAY YEAH DUDE! *in my best frat boy voice* and congratulations to Talli on this wonderful day

Ann - I hope Talli does well, too.

Joanne - I was a cheerleader, too.

Clarissa - Yea! Congrats :)

Party crasher here! I didn't do Nano, but I'm grabbing a glass of bubbly, because I like hanging out with the cool people.
Party time!
I hit the goal of 50,000, although my main goal was to get a really great start on a sequel to my book. I thought NaNo was fun. And yes, I still like my project - and I'm still working on it.
Go Talli!
I love these kind of parties!!!

I didn't do NaNo, but three cheers to all those who did. They have my admiration.

Sorry I haven't been around the blog block lately. :)
Party! Hooray!

Yes, I participated!
I did reach my goal! And I even got beyond 50,000!
Satisfied, although I want to continue writing like crazy. :D
I still love my novel--I've been working on it for a while now!
Yes, I participated and reached the goal. Is it finished? Hell, no. Do I like what I wrote? Kind of. Does it needs tons and tons of editing and polishing? Hell, yes.
Carol Kilgore said…
Lydia - Enjoy the bubbly! I didn't participate either.

Alex - Congratulations! And I'm glad you still love your project.

Kathi - They have mine, too. 50,000 words in 30 days is awesome.

Golden Eagle - Congratulations again! I'm glad you're still writing and loving it :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Elspeth - Kudos! Editing and polishing are a given. Getting all those words down is fantastic.

Great party. Congratulations to everyone who participated in NaNo (even if they didn't finish). Love your award for them. It's neat.

Congratulations to Talli and wishing her good luck too.

BTW, the chocolate taste delicious even with my cold. Thanks for having me at your party.

Thoughts in Progress

Oh, a party! What an adorable badge, Carol!
I didn't participate this year, but I was cheering others on.
Thanks for the chocolate. ;)

I did not participate in NaNo, but I did get more writing done last month than in many months prior. Somehow I found more time.

That's a cute Tiki Hut badge. I assume you made it. I haven't a clue how to do that.

Congrats to all who participated.
Carol Kilgore said…
Mason - Oh, colds are no fun. Get over yours real soon. I'm glad you like the Leaping Tiki.

Laura - Yea! Another cheerleader! The Leaping Tiki seemed appropriate :)

Helen - I did make it, but no idea if what I did was correct or not. I have no idea how it will copy and paste or attach in any other way. Hope it works - LOL.

Holly - Yeah - from me, too :)

What a wonderful way to congratulate those who took part in NaNo! Great idea, Carol!

I didn't participate this year since my plate is too full right now. However, I plan to next year.

I bought the book and will read over Christmas break. Congrats to Talli!

Congrats to all the NaNo participants! You deserve it.
Carol Kilgore said…
Kimberly - Thanks!

Chary - My plate is piled high, too, so I opted to be a cheerleader. Cool about Talli's book! You hear that, Talli?
Patti Lacy said…
I have a friend who, for NoNaMo, READ a novel.

He is so amazing. And really enjoyed it!!!

Blessings and congrats!
Carol Kilgore said…
Patti - I guess that would be NaNoReMo???

Yoo hoo! I'm late but ready to party. Thanks for the awesome spread, Carol. And I love the badge!

Yes, I did NaNo. Goal reached: 51k+. NaNo is great for getting words on the page, but it's what you do with those words after NaNo that matters. I'm still very excited about my NaNo project.

Go Talli!!! I'm so thrilled for her.
Maryann Miller said…
What fun. Sorry I came to the party so late. I did not participate in NaNo Write, but congratulate all who did. I was so busy with rehearsals for Scrooge - happens every year - that I don't have time to focus on getting that many words done every day.

I did NaNoWriMo and scraped out 50k words.

I have a lot of editing to do - for a start, the story doesn't seem to have an actual plot. A minor detail (!) but one I'd like to sort out.

So, I'll enjoy the snacks and chocolate in here and say a big thank you! It's great to have people who don't take part cheering us on!
Hart Johnson said…
YAY for a party!!! *throws glitterbomb*

Where is the pudding wrestling?
Taquitos!!! Oh, I LIKE this party!

Yes, managed... my goal was not just the finished 50K but a solid first draft. I think the genre I chose helped, as it currently sits at 56K and I have a couple story threads to add in at revision, so it should end up at a sweet 70K when it is filled out, but there aren't GAPING holes (my last two WriMos have had them). Mystery seems to be easier for me to follow a PLAN, and this was a YA mystery, so very slightly less dark and complicated...

Thanks for the mimosa!
Carol Kilgore said…
VR - Enjoy :) I'm glad you're still in love with your NaNo project.

Maryann - Bah! Humbug! Have fun with that old miser.

fairyhedgehog - My Novembers are full-up with family goings-on, so there's little hope for me with NaNo, so this is my way of participating - as a cheerleader for all of you. Congrats on getting your words. Now...go find that missing plot!

Hart - Great job! The pudding wrestling is over by those two coconut palms if you haven't found it yet. Did I find a gorgeous bartender or what :)

Hope I didn't miss ALL of the party! I did participate in NaNo, and wrote just over 16,000 words. I consider it good, since I've been away from blogging, writing and lots of the fun things in life for way too long.
And I still like my NaNo project but it could use a little spice, project for next draft.
Carol Kilgore said…
Good for you! There's always some kind of party going on here. No fear :)
