These are all wonderful things about Christmas. I'd say kids probably love snow around Christmas too.

Not many surprises there, except the Advent calendar. I did not realize that many kids are into that. I think they are neat and we did a wonderful one for the local art center. Had kids, and adults, paint something on each of the calendar squares. It is a big, wooden calendar that we put up in one of the windows of the center. So cool.

I'm still a kid and love all those things. For the kid in me, I'd add music.

This week, I've given the kids in my room large pieces of wrapping paper and lots (and lots and lots)of masking tape. They've wrapped every toy and presented their 'gifts' to each other and to us. Fun!

I love Christmas too, everything you mentioned! My daughter's favorites were pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and seeing the window displays on Union Square in S.F.

Jennifer - Of course! I'm not cooking this year either. Yea for us :)

Talli - I agree.

Maryann - Your advent calendar sounds very cool.

Holly - So do I. Lights are the icing on the Christmas cake.

Words Crafter - Excellent task for the kids. They learn the basics and have fun doing so. I agree about the music. Looks as if I should have done the Top 12 :)

Carol - What a fun list. My 10 and 8 year old are still gung ho on convincing their firneds that THEY are wrong. Santa does exist.

hi Carol,
Great list. But I have to say that my favorite is Christmas songs and that includes the carolers. In Spain they still have that tradition (usually kids do it and people give them cookies, sweets, or some coins). I think is a beautiful tradition that is fading more and more every year. Merry Christmas!
