Veterans Day
Today is Veterans Day. It's a day to show support and remembrance for all veterans of all wars. It used to be called Armistice Day, for it was in 1918 at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month an armistice was signed that ended the First World War. The custom is to observe one minute of silence at 11 a.m. to show respect.
I love Veterans Day because it's one day before my birthday. So I get a 2-fer, and I take advantage of that whenever I can.
In honor of both these holidays, the Tiki Hut will be closed for some private playtime tomorrow, and maybe the next day, too, depending on how hard I play!
