A Pinch of This, A Dash of That
Last week, Lydia Kang at The Word Is My Oyster held an awardapalooza. Lydia writes an outstanding blog, and if you haven't been there yet, go. You'll love it.
I'm not the only one who thinks so because Lydia was blessed with 4.7 jillion awards. She placed them all on the buffet table and listed those invited to the party. I was one of the lucky invitees. Lydia asked each of us to choose an award.
The award I chose was:
The reason I chose this one was because I love yellow and sunshine. I also chose it because with buckets of moisture from Hurricane Alex heading our way, I figured I could use the cool rain boots.
I'm passing the award on to five bloggers who always offer smiles on rainy days - and whenever I need one:
Clarissa Draper
Helen Ginger
Talli Roland
Cassandra Jade
Patricia Stoltey

I also planned to blog about two other things.
First was the state of my desk and binder. I'm keeping my desk clean - hey, it's been a whole week :)
But I'm not close enough with the binder yet to take a photo. You'd think it still looks like it did in the last shot, even though I've made considerable progress. It's hard work!

Second was that a roadrunner has been visiting off and on over the past few days. The same kind of Beep! Beep! roadrunner that tormented Wile E. Coyote.
Today I was out with the doggies. We rounded the corner of the house and there he was.
Blessed are the dog trainers because they have saved my sanity. Arf and Woof BEHAVED! I couldn't believe it.
We backed up, and I pulled out my phone. Didn't have my camera, but my phone has one.
Sadly, it has a poor excuse for a zoom. The roadrunner looks like any other kind of bird in all the shots I took.
So I'm not blogging about these things today.
See you Friday!

I love reading the kind of post you have here today. There's something about the tidbits of info that tell us more about the blogger than any post on a single topic.
Your blog background is stunning, by the way. I hope you weather the storm just fine -- I lived in Florida 11 years before moving to Colorado, so I know what the tropical storm/hurricane season is all about. Take care.
I used to love the Roadrunner cartoons, how nice to see the character in real life :)
Have a great Wednesday!
And congrats for keeping your desk clean :)
Congrats on the road runner. I think they're good luck. I used to have one that would peek in the front window at me.
Clarissa - You're welcome. And thanks!
Patricia - You're so sweet. What Patricia means is it lets you see my scattered mind :)
Joanne - So far the sunshine is winning. We have had a mix of sun and clouds and a very slight breeze ever since the weather people said we would have wind and heavy rain from the outer bands.
Talli - You're welcome. Happy Wednesday to you, too.
Aubrie - I'm a little surprised at myself for keeping my desk clear. I was a little surprised myself to see the roadrunner here in a regular subdivision. Usually they're in more rural areas.
Helen - Good luck? Very cool :)
This one hasn't ventured to my window yet.
How exciting to see a roadrunner.
And thanks for coming into my blog and wishing my daughter Jen and belated happy birthday. She says thank you!
Have a great Friday and weekend. This first day of July is about done.
