Friday's Top Ten

Top ten things I always run out of:

10. Money

  9. Gasoline

  8. Energy

  7. Batteries

  6. Paper

  5. Printer Ink

  4. Milk

  3. Salsa

  2. Wine

And the #1 thing I always run out of:

  1. Toilet Paper

Comments

That last one is the worst!
We used to steal batteries from seldom-used remotes. Of course, that's the time we'd need to use those remotes.

Running VERY low on energy right now...

Hope you found you ran out of toilet paper BEFORE using the toilet.
Great list.
Enjoy your week-end,
Yvonne.

Just don't run out of TP and Kleenx at the same time.

Have a great weekend. Money are energy are what I run out of most often.

I'm supposed to be in charge of the household... some joke. I'll buy the toilet paper but forget to distribute it to the bathrooms until I have irate females screaming at me.
CATachresis said…
Energy is the one I run out of the quickest! :(

Have a great weekend :)

And cat food and ..patience :))). Kisses.
Rachna Chhabria said…
I run out of time and energy most of the time.

And all of them so important to our existence! Ugh. I hate running out of stuff.
I keep a close check on the toilet paper... and most people will agree that there's never enough time in a day!

the first thing I run out of is patience.
Good list. My patience has been known to run out when I'm driving in rush hour traffic

And the batteries in my camera always seem to run out when I spot a must-take photo.

Alex - I totally agree! We have finally reached the point where we remember to buy batteries when the stash runs low. Seems like they go in everything.

Liza - After A-Z, I was drained. Much improved now :)

Yvonne - Most of the time :)

Diane - Horrors!

Joy - Those rank high on my list, too.

I never run out of Toilet paper. LOL My number one would be time.
Great top ten!

Hi, Carol,

I can SOOOO relate to almost all of these! lol.

Have a great weekend.

Energy and batteries. They almost go together, lol! Now, if I could just figure out how to slap the damn energizer Bunny into working for me, I'd be golden.

Money, for sure.

TP is something we have a surplus of, thanks to hubs.

Lately, I've been running really low on patience and have plenty of snark.

Great top ten! The last one is a nightmare, isn't it?

Exchange salsa and wine for chocolate and potato chips and this could be MY list!!

As an inveterate Costco shopper, I've always kept a huge back-stock of nonperishables and have rarely run out of anything. But now that I'm going from a 3500 sq ft house plus garage to a 500 sq/ft apt and no storage, I think I may be in SERIOUS trouble. :)

I'd have to add eggs to the list and yeah, energy is definitely an issue.

Nick - LOL! Must be a man thing :)

CATachresis - Austin says 'take more naps' :)

unikorna - Ack! How could I have forgotten patience? Probably because I have so little to begin with that it never factors in :)

Rachna - And time! That should have been #1. There is NEVER enough.

Linda G - So do I.
David Oliver said…
Hope this doesn't sound like a chauvinist but I knew what #1 was going to be. A friend had three daughters. Without fail whenever I went to the grocery store he would be there. Eventually this was the standard greeting:
Hey Jerry, toilet paper again?
yeah

I never, never, never allow myself to run out of t.p.

Love,
Janie

Michelle - I cannot believe I didn't even think about time. How crazy is that, because I'm always complaining I need more time.

Delores - I ran out of numbers for this list LOL!

Donna - Traffic is a given here. I'm pretty good about keeping my camera charged, but still there are times.

Summer - I need your secret!

Michael - Good! You have a great weekend, too :)

M Pax said…
Heck yes on energy. And I hate running out of tea.
Tina said…
Running out of wine is alcohol abuse! I always keep a spare bottle. You never know when someone is going to stop by and you go through it much faster! Energy? Haven't had any in a long time...

Sia - We may need to flip to see who gets first use of Pink Bunny :)

Mama J - You betcha!

Linda K - Love potato chips :)

VR - Eggs and Linda's potato chips...I need about 15 numbers to squeeze into ten for today's list LOL! Sell everything; buy what you need that will fit when you arrive.

David - True. Charmin now makes the Mega Roll :)

Ah yes, the illusive toilet paper. Most annoying when it runs out!
Robin said…
Love this list, Carol. I think you've found something on here that everyone can relate to in their own experience. AND #1 is PRICELESS.
This may be one of my favorite lists! And I'm paranoid about #1 :)
Julie Flanders said…
LOL I've never run out of toilet paper but have come dangerously close. Now I feel like I buy it almost every time I go to the store just to be safe.

Happy weekend! :)
Unknown said…
Oh yes! I ran out of milk yesterday, and Kleenexes will be substituted for TP starting tomorrow. I really have to go to the store, but with temps at 100F, it's too tempting to stay inside and hide in the A/C.
I hope you have a nice weekend! :-)
I agree that running out of toilet paper is the worst! Sadly, I often run out of energy too!

Julie
Oh, no no no, one must NEVER run out of t.p. Buy it in bulk if ya have to. (sigh) Too bad we can't buy energy in bulk, too.

Happy weekend!
Thankfully I have never run out of toilet paper but money well I never have enough, engery what is that.......lol
Patience, energy and time are the three I run out of all too often. Fortunately my sense of humour is inexhaustible.
Helena said…
I'm always running out of money! (sigh). Milk and energy go fast too. Sadly, I've got lots of toilet paper.

Have a great weekend, Carol.
Carol Kilgore said…
Janie - You must keep a secret stash.

Mary - Not a tea drinker, but I would hate running out of coffee.

Tina - LOL! Exactly!

Wendy - Yes. Definitely.

Robin - And universal.
Bish Denham said…
I hate it when that happens! :D
Unknown said…
Funny, I always run out of patience.
Carol Kilgore said…
Words Crafter - Cool. A little paranoia can be a good thing :)

Julie F - Better safe than sorry!

Lexa - Totally get that. We're nudging 100F here, too.

Julie - Same here.

Susan - I agree about the energy!

Jo-Anne - There's never enough money, energy, or time.

EC - We sound a lot alike.

Helena - We're usually good on milk, but it goes fast.

Bish - Exactly!

Jan - A common trait around here :)
Mark Means said…
Hopefully, you run out of #3 before #1....and then #2 (and I'm not talking about wine ;) )
Anonymous said…
I can relate to most of these. Not 3 though. I love salsa but tend to only eat it while out.

My number one would be "cat litter"! LOL!! Take care

Lol! An essential list and true!
Anonymous said…
Yep. That's about right. I run out of chai tea -- had to stock up this morning.
Carol Kilgore said…
Mark - LOL! What is it they say...something like 'it's all in the numbers' :)

Medeia - Salsa is a staple in our house.

Old Kitty - Charlie and Gumtree wouldn't be too happy if you ran out of cat litter.

Nas - I always run out of whatever it is at the most inconvenient times.

Milo - Drink up!
I'm outta milk at the moment! lol.
Melissa said…
A membership to SAM'S or Costco and ample storage space'll fix that...except maybe the milk. LOL

Kidding. :P Great top 10.
Carol Kilgore said…
Lynda - LOL!

Melissa - Ummm...We have a Costco membership.
Laura Eno said…
Haha! I hated running out of toilet paper so much as a young adult that now you could come shop at my house for it. I'm "out" when I have 12 rolls left.
Since this is Tuesday of the next week, obviously I ran out of time last week. :/
Jeff Hargett said…
Me? I'm always running low on sense, it seems. Cents too, but if I had sense then I'd have more cents. :)
Carol Kilgore said…
Laura - I should adopt your TP buying habits :)

Jeff - Good one - took sense to write :)
