A-Z Solomon's Compass Style: X Marks the Spot

Welcome A-Z bloggers!
And everyone else, of course :)
My A-Z posts are all about my new book, SOLOMON'S COMPASS.
Read the A post to learn who AJ is.

Taylor again.

Yes, it's true. Uncle Randy sent me a message that he buried his treasure in Rock Harbor.

Is there a map with a big X marking its location?

I only wish.

Is there any way to know if he actually did bury something where he said he did?

I only wish.

Is there any way to find out without digging?

I only wish.

What I really wish is Uncle Randy hadn't needed to bury his treasure in the first place.

But his last request to me was to find it and retrieve it. There was only one caveat. I was to tell no one.

Fulfilling his wish is the reason I came to Rock Harbor. I promised him I would.

I also promised not to tell.

Do you know how hard that is?

Especially when you meet someone who makes your toes curl when he kisses you.

But a promise is a promise.

Ah, nothing like a buried treasure story. I'll be reading for sure!
Especially when I bet you could use the help finding it.

Happy Saturday, guys! I'm glad you all like buried treasure. Where were you when I was looking for it?

You can read all about it in Solomon's Compass!

Definitely will have to check out Solomon's Compass!

She's going to have a hard time finding it.
Interesting tidbit, Carol.
Kisses that curl her toes? Will or Jake's kisses. I'm not assuming anything... and I suppose you're not telling...

Don't trust him!! Anyone that can kiss like that has had lots of practice.

Cool, Rocky!

Diane, you think? LOL!

Michelle, neither Carol nor I will tell.

Are you sure, Susan? He kisses sooo good.

I can imagine it's really hard to keep your secret, Taylor!
Love the inclusion of buried treasure in the story, how fun and intriguing.

Awww.

Well, one thing I loved about your book was the treasure hunt.
That's a lot of wishing.

I'm keen for buried treasure! This book sounds great!

Medeia, I never thought I'd be chasing after buried treasure. Especially not from Uncle Randy.

You don't know the half of it, Julie.

There is something magical about it, Sherri.

Clarissa, I'm glad you had fun with it.

And I wished for about as long as it took me to type the word, Heather. Wishing won't make it happen. We have to act.

Glad you think so, Liza!

A novel thought--people actually making a promise and then keeping it. Letting your yes mean yes. Shame more don't believe in that point of honor and that a promise is meant to be kept.

I only wish. :-)

Be interesting to see how she handles it all.
Buried treasure stories are great

This is beginning to sound like Taylor may find more than one treasure in Rock Harbor. Let's hope only one of those treasures turns out to be buried. :)

I hope that the treasure is marked with an actual X in the real world. That would be hilarious.
Perhaps when you kiss him so HIS toes curl he will forget everything you say...

A lot of dilemas in that post. Finding the treasure, digging, and not telling. That's always the hardest part.

Oooo, good for her, she's got will power and takes her promises seriously.

I don't know if I would be able to keep that secret either!

Michael - So do I!

Sia - Taylor isn't the only one who learns the value of keeping a promise.

Jo-Anne - Glad you think so!

VR - Oh, yes! Let's hope!

DWEI - That's probably the only kind of treasure I could ever find.
Carol Kilgore said…
EC - You'll have to read Solomon's Compass to find out if that happens :)

Rinelle - Yes, not telling :) Thanks for stopping by!

Shelley - Great!

Bish - Yep, that's Taylor.

Christine - It may be as hard as fighting monsters :)

Old Kitty - Taylor needs a bit of luck.

Finding someone whom you can trust and that makes your toes curl when he kisses you is better than buried treasure. Actually harder to find... lucky girl.
Carol Kilgore said…
Robin - I totally agree on that. But Taylor was not without her own baggage on this trip either.

I came upon another blog of yours that I hadn't seen before, but I will just leave a comment here as I am trying very hard to avoid getting involved with Google+. Keeping a secret is a good thing.

I dunno. Seems like Taylor just told a heck of a lot of people about that secret. Now we'll all be high-tailing it to Rock Harbor with our digging tools. Heh-heh. :-)
Carol Kilgore said…
Cathrina - Thanks. Good to see you here.

Inger - Another blog? This is the only one I have, except for my website. Oh, and a test Wordpress thingie I did to set up the website. This one feeds into Goodreads and my Amazon Author Page. Please let me know if you found something elsewhere.

Lexa - Go ahead. The game is afoot :)

X marks the spot is a good one here. I loved it also in the Indiana Jones Grail movie.

Sounds more intriguing now with buried treasure!

Helena - I didn't remember the X marking the spot in the Indiana Jones movie. Too long ago. Must mean I need to watch it again!

Nas - Murder, treasure, love ... what's not to like :)
