A-Z Solomon's Compass Style: Will Knox

Welcome A-Z bloggers!
And everyone else, of course :)
My A-Z posts are all about my new book, SOLOMON'S COMPASS.
Read the A post to learn who AJ is.

Hey, y'all!

I'm Will Knox. AJ mentioned me in a couple of posts. I'm finally here to represent all those W people out there who always have to wait until last. The good thing is I get a Top Ten out of it.

So here we go!

The top ten things about me - Will Knox:

10. I grew up in Rock Harbor.

  9. I own Copano Bay Boat Works.

  8. I love my truck.

  7. I'm a Cowboys fan.

  6. I'm divorced.

  5. My daughter is the sweetest, most beautiful girl in the world.

  4. I don't sit home much.

  3. My hair looks like the working end of a good scrub brush.

  2. I caused everyone around me a world of hurt until I finally wised up and got clean.

And the #1 thing about me - Will Knox:

  1. I was supposed to be the one to get the girl. And in the first draft I did. But Jake Solomon wouldn't go away. He's a lucky man. Taylor's a great woman. And she's pretty lucky, too.

Sorry you didn't get the girl, Will.

No prob, Alex. I'm not ready to settle down.

E#W, you'll like it!

Most people say I'm a character, Clarissa. Some of them don't mean it in a good way :)

Thank you, Yvonne. We love for people to read our story.
Hi, Will, I think that a man who thinks so highly of his daughter is one quality guy.

It's been cool getting to know your characters. Can't wait to read Solomon now ;)

Aw, poor Will, not getting the girl!

Oh, man! I hope you're not too ticked at Carol for taking your girl away from you!

My hair kind of looks crazy today too. It's raining here; the rain always makes my hair go haywire.

Nice to meet you, WilL!
Hope Will meets someone nice in the sequel!

"My hair looks like the working end of a good scrub brush." I too had the same problem, but lots of hair conditioner and a mild shampoo did the trick.

Thanks for the intro to Will. I hope you see it fit to give him a girl of his own. :)

Thanks, Teresa. Got plans for Saturday night?

LR, we, too, can't wait for you to read it!

No sweat, Talli. I meet plenty of women, and I'm not in a hurry.

Nah! Carol and I are buds. My hair always looks like this.

I do, too, Julie. If Carol decides to revisit us.

Rachna, maybe I should change shampoo. But I doubt it will help much.

I do all right, J.L. Of course, a boost from Carol couldn't hurt :)

I liked meeting Will. His hair must be something special--very manly and interesting.

Sorry he missed out on getting the girl.

Don't worry, Will, there's someone out there for you too. :)
Love the description of your hair!

LOL on the hair looking like the good end of a good scrub brush! I get a very clear visual on that!

Sorry Will, but I love #1! That's a juicy tidbit for any writer who has let a character tell him or her what to put on the page.

Hang in there, Will. Maybe there will be a girl for you in the sequel.
Carol Kilgore said…
I think my woman is still out there, Lee. I keep looking for her.

I haven't found anyone interesting enough yet, Julie.

You wouldn't believe how much shampoo I use, Bish. My haircutter groans when she sees me coming.

Magic was in the air when Jake Solomon walked in, VR. Plain and simple. Everyone felt it.

Maybe we'll get a sequel. Not my decision to make, LD.

Sounds like he's gracious in defeat!

Ouch. In the first draft he got the girl. He must be pretty awesome. I feel bad for him. Maybe there will be a sequel and another great girl...

My husband would say so sorry you are a Cowboys fan!
Laura Eno said…
Poor Will. How cruel of you, Carol! You gave him the girl through the whole first draft?
Carol Kilgore said…
I'm all about wanting the ladies to be happy, Nick.

I find a great girl almost every weekend, Robin. I'm not in a hurry.

Diane, them's fightin' words :)

No worries, Laura. First draft and part of the second.

The working end of a scrub brush! Ha!

Good to see you here, Rocky.

It's quite a mess, Connie.

Aww, poor Will, your writer is one mean lady to snatch the girl away from you like that. :-) And from item #3, it sounds like we share the exact same hair type!
Helena said…
Awww, I'm so glad Will is willing to let that first draft go and give up the girl for the story's sake.
Hi Will. You take missing out winning Taylor astonishingly well.
Aw, poor Will missing out because of a draft change

This is Carol. Will had a date last night, and I haven't seen him this morning.

Jocelyn - Great to meet you. Will's hair is the first thing I noticed about him.

Helena - Will's an easy-going guy. For the most part.

EC and Lynda - Will's too busy having fun right now to really worry about that. Maybe after a little more living :)

Aha! Will versus Jake? And, of course, Jake won!
Mmm... interesting... can't wait to read it.
