Codes R Us. Or Not.

What do codes have to do with Tiki Huts? Or Mondays?

If I knew how to construct a real code. I'd make a mini-message here for your to decipher so you'd know.

Since I know little to nothing beyond kindergarten-level codes, I'll just come out and say it.

Today I'm visiting with Clarissa Draper at Listening to the Voices...

Clarissa is the author of The Sholes Key. If you enjoy mysteries and codes and you haven't read her book yet, go to Amazon and purchase it on your way to her blog. You'll be happy you did.

Oh yeah...no worries. We're not talking in code or about codes over there.

Would I lie?

P.S. No codes allowed in the comments. Regular English only, please :)

Just kidding. I'm horrible with codes too. Now my husband...that's a whole different ballgame.

I couldn't write a code to save my soul. On my way to Clarissa's!

Haven't gone that way yet.

Johanna - I think codes are cool and sometimes I understand them after they're explained. But not always. My brain is wired in a different way, I think. I'm always fascinated that people can make up a code!

Emily - LOL...see my comment directly above!

J.L. - No worries :)

Darn! If I knew a code, I'd have to write one now, just to be mean! Wait! Is pig latin a code?
Slamdunk said…
Well I am doing things backward today--visited Clarissa's place earlier today.

And, I am a code geek.
Carol Kilgore said…
Linda K - LOL. I don't know. But I know how pig latin works!

Slamdunk - Backwards is allowed. It's Monday! I can think of basic codes like a backward alphabet or moving things over or numbers for letters and vice versa. Beyond that, I'm toast.

Will be off to visit Clarissa soon! I loved The Sholes Key. A great read!
Carol Kilgore said…
Shelley - Exactly. Clarissa is the one with the brilliant code brain :)

Rula - So do I, as long as I don't have to create them :)

Talli - I loved it, too!

Visited Clarissa yesterday. Having to write about codes and figure them out would probably tie my brain in to knots. Glad Clarissa does it so I don't have to. :)

I love Clarissa's book and reading about codes. But I'd go nuts trying to create one. So same for me!
