Sugar Doll Award

Last week Laura Eno at A Shift in Dimensions presented me with the Sugar Doll award. Thank you, Laura!

She's such a sugar doll herself. But wait until you read her short fiction. Laura, have you written a story yet about a Sugar Doll?

In order to accept this award, I have to tell you ten things about myself:

1. I love to read for pleasure. And my favorite genre is romantic suspense.

2. My mother named me after my uncle and grandfather. Had I been male, I would have the same first and middle names but they would've been spelled differently. I'm so thankful they weren't named Barnaby and Sebastian.

3. I'm a native Texan.

4. I've lived around. Some of the places are New York City, Miami, and Nashville.

5. I don't like bugs. I'm not afraid of them, but I have a lot of allergies. I never know what will happen when something takes a taste of me.

6. I hate Benadryl. But I'm so glad it works!

7. I love bright, happy colors.

8. I'm pretty much a klutz.

9. Arf and Woof make me smile. Most of the time.

10. I hate to shop.

I'm passing the Sugar Doll award on to:

Aubrie Dionne at Flutey Words . . .

All Sugar Dolls. Check them out and see for yourselves.

Thanks so much for the award! My husband grew up in Friendswood, Texas. Sometimes up in NH he misses the heat and the sun!

Congratulations on the award, Carol, and thanks so much for sharing!

Love your ten reveals, especially #9. As someone who is owned by a dog, I know exactly what you mean by 'most of the time.' :)

Aubrie - You're welcome. I know where Friendswood is - I grew up in Houston.
Are you anywhere near West Chesterfield, NH?

Joanne - Thanks. Yes they are!

VR - Most welcome. LOL-ing. Shed season is fast approaching. Ugh.

Congrats to your picks!
Yes, pets do own us, don't they. :)
I haven't written a piece about sugar dolls yet...yet

Thanks so much, Carol!! You are so sweet! I feel like I totally have a lot in common with you though I know so little! You like romantic suspense?? You're a native Texan? You are a klutz?? Too bad we can't get together for lunch. ;)

hahaha I just saw that one of your favorite movies is Burn After Reading. You know how Brad Pitt drinks out of that water bottle like a goon? I totally think about that all the time...especially when I drink out of my water bottle and try not to look like an idiot...or a gerbil.

Dude, I hate to shop too! Congrats on the award. :)
Shopping. Well, I kinda like it. This pleases my wife no end! Of course, when we're into our second hour of looking at women's shoes...then, well, not so much.

Best Wishes, Galen

Laura - I can't wait to read it when you do.

M.Gray - Oh dear - not two of us? Mexican for lunch - we can dribble salsa down the fronts of our blouses and watch when our sunglasses fall off the tops of our heads into our Margarita glasses. And talk about Burn After Reading. I loved the expression on Brad Pitt's face!

Elana - Yea! Another member of the I Hate to Shop Club.

Galen - My live-in handyman is a much better shopper than I am. He likes it, too.
Congratulations on the Sugar Doll award! I don't like bugs either, but it's pretty much because I am afraid of them...and I hate their bites.

It was fun finding out some things about you. Do you have a favorite author in romantic suspense you read?
Carol Kilgore said…
Jane - Thanks. The ones that really do me in are bees, wasps, and spiders.

Maryann - I try to read new authors at least every third book. Sometimes they're difficult to find. I like some, but not all. Of the mega names, I like Linda Howard, Sandra Brown, Suzanne Brockmann the best, but certainly not the only.

Congratulations on your award. Enjoy learning more about your.

Pretty soon you'll know it all, Mason. All except those deep, dark secrets I'm not telling anyone.

Congratulations on the award!

I enjoyed getting to know a little about you. I actually laughed out loud at the klutz one, because if there's something to fall upon, stumble or bump into, I'll find it!
Carol Kilgore said…
Yes! Exactly. Me, too.

Carol,

I'm a Texan, too. I lived in California for several years. I loved the mountains and rivers and lakes without water moccasins.
I couldn't handle not being around Texans and I need chicken fried steak with cream gravy like people need water and Wolf brand chili.

I thought E. Texas was miserably humid, but I couldn't handle San Antonio.

Congratulations on your award.

Thanks. And welcome to the Tiki Hut. You made me hungry. I wonder what chicken fried steak would taste like topped by Wolf Brand chili? Maybe I'll try it one day.

Congratulations on the award. Such fun to read about you. My stepfather was a Kilgore; a wonderful, creative person.

Congratulations on the award. You are a Sugar Doll, so it's perfect. Love your 10 things. My son doesn't particularly care for Benadryl either, but it sure helps his allergies.
